Motorhead / Anthrax / Slayer at Mayhem Fest 7/27/2012
It was Slipknot who headlined the date of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ on July 27. Featuring a supporting cast of names like As I Lay Dying, Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada and many, many more, it was clearly a festival skewed towards younger metal fans instead of the old-school diehards that the rest of the upper bill appealed to (Motorhead, Anthrax, Slayer). It seemed odd a metal band would just name themselves after "The Devil Wears Prada" -
From wikipedia:
They have explained that their band name is based on an anti-materialistic mindset and derived their name from the novel, The Devil Wears Prada. At the time of naming the band, the members assumed that the novel included anti-materialism as its moral, until later discovering that the novel did not feature this as its message at all.
