Serena Williams got herself a BIG ASS BOOTY! DAMN!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 2:00 PM

Any dates for the iPods -- that is a band with real diversity from track to track!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 2:01 PM

please sign

Posted by jim fouratt | August 5, 2012 2:11 PM

I support any band named Pussy Riot, but I don't support wacko extreme left wing organizations that lie and distort the truth.

DOWN WITH LIARS! TRUTH NOW!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 2:27 PM

Got so many nipples the kids call me Spic Larry

Posted by Spic Larry | August 5, 2012 2:38 PM

The Zombies - I thought that they played Jones Beach last month with Stamos amirite

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 2:54 PM

@2:01 I got to admit when I read that I thought what a fucking loser waste of life you are. LOL! you pathetic piece of shit.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 3:40 PM

Sabbath killed at Lolla!!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 3:55 PM

I actually laughed at 2:01...

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:24 PM

Whoa, 3:40. Seems like a harmless comment?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:25 PM

3:40 needs to chill out a little bit. It's a harmless joke.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:29 PM

I am not 3:40, but I am one of the literal vast majority of people on BV that are sick and tired of this shit. No it's not a harmless joke. It was a harmless joke the very first time. After that it was just LOOKITMEEEEEE. LOOOKITMEEEEEEE!!!! Not harmless. Not a joke. So, next time you get the urge (and you know who I am talking to), DON'T. M'kay, hipster trash?!?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:37 PM

Who was harmed? What do you have against laughter? Being as angry as you are isn't healthy.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:41 PM

4:37 -- why so serious?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:44 PM

The discussion in this post sheds some light. I don't think the joke is funny but I think that the author, "Mitch," raises some fair points, even if he is a little obsessed: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2012/08/lollapalooza_20_15.html#comments

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:47 PM

4:37 got priced out of Williamsburg. He is posting from his mother's basement in Marine Park, and boy is he angry about it. It has really affected his sense of humor and made him an unpleasant person.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:48 PM

No 4:37 is "Mitch" obvs
Michael Sosa > D > Hanley > "Mitch"

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:50 PM

Weasel Walter plays the skin flute?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 4:54 PM

Is that the chick from friends climbing the stage supports?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 5:00 PM

^ looks like a blow-up doll to me actually

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 5:07 PM

Black Sabbath is awesome

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 6:04 PM

I am retiring the joke. I feel like it has run its course. I have more to say, but am resisting doing so. I know that I had fun and so did lots of other people, but I am moving on. This whole experience has taught me a lot about "people." Thanks to the supporters and, everyone else, you need to relax and enjoy life.

Posted by Mitch | August 5, 2012 6:44 PM

^ Thanks for keeping us abreast of how you are feeling Mitch Benjamin. Now, if you can just stop groping those girls in the Pitchfork fest pit, maybe you can keep those sexual harassment complaints away from that pesky peer review board amirite?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 6:57 PM

poor mitch needs to learn that unlike chicago we don't play in nyc son

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 7:03 PM

I actually laugh at 2:01 and the one or 2 other morons who do the "ipod joke" with their followups.

Not cause i think it is funny and we all know it isn't. I laugh cause i think as bad as I could have it on any given day, at least i don't have the pathetic existence these couple of trolls do. Just makes me feel better about myself to know there are some serious losers with no life out there.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 7:07 PM

Mitch don't let the haters get you down. It's a cute little joke.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 7:23 PM

^like flies to shit, 2 of those said morons followup with their stupidity

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 7:40 PM

7:23 +1

Go Mitch! These comments are frequently filled with racist/homophobic/misogynist nonsense and you sociopaths are ganging up, on a guy who posts a joke that makes people laugh? What's wrong with you?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 7:45 PM

7:45 - I am personally offended by those ipods posts, and have been having serious anxiety over them. Please show some respect to my wishes that this person stop this. Maybe it doesn't seem like a big deal to you, but it is A BIG DEAL TO ME. Surely you can understand that. Now, I don't have any ill will towards this person, but I really feel like it's time to move on now, so can we please? Thank you.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 7:52 PM

Team Mitch!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:04 PM

The level of this trolling is FAR below Mitchfork's standards, although I do like that someone invoked his name to give it legitimacy and put a face to it. We should all be so lucky for him to appear again on this board!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:13 PM

The level of this trolling is FART

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:24 PM

6:57 - Kinda fucked using a person's real full legal name and accusing them of sexual abuse on a music comment board, don't ya think? Unless you have actual proof, that's pretty low of you.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:25 PM

Agreed 8:25. The irony is that 6:57 is actually literally engaging in an actionable offense -- defamation -- by alleging that "Mitch" assaulted/battered (it would not be "sexual harassment," that is not a cause of action outside the workplace, under Title VII) someone in a mosh pit.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:31 PM

^ it's a public accessible allegation made by a Chicago area publication, easily searched using Goggle. Nice try, Perry Mason.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:36 PM

"Local indie-rock fan and corporate lawyer @Mitchfork can come off like a scumbag in his anonymous Twitter feed—he's openly discussed harassing baristas and copping a feel in the No Age pit at Pitchfork."

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:38 PM

Pretty obviously a satirical character, homies.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:40 PM

I have to agree with 8:40. I re-read those Mitchfork posts from last year - oh yes, I remember them now :-) - and they don't sound a thing in like the Mitch impersonator troll in tenor or tone. And as pointed out in that thread, impersonating a lawyer is a crime in all states (isn't that right 8:31?)

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:44 PM

being anonymous is the game on here. representing yourself as someone else and offending people on here, pretty sure that might be a bit more "actionable" than reporting on a published allegation.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:49 PM

Oh yes, 8:49, offending people on message boards is VERY actionable. That is why no one ever does it. And why, when someone offends someone on a message board, it is usually front page news.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:51 PM

^ yeah, I wasn't talking about impersonating another person, and a lawyer at that. You're too smart to make that wrong assumption, obviously. Jackass.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:55 PM

Look out kids, Perry Mason is on the case.
(cue Law & Order music .... DONG DOOOOONG)

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:58 PM

It would be a legal if he was seriously offering you legal services and not just a modest degree of entertainment on a beautiful Sunday. Also, neither the real (but also fake) or fake-fake Mitch is even involved in this conversation.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 8:58 PM

ah, lawyers arguing over stupid shit. now I've seen it all.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:00 PM

"beautiful Sunday"

You are clearly not located in the northeast United States today. Maybe you should find a blog in your own area to bring your unique insight and skills to? On this beautiful Sunday?

Now any more threats you want to make, or are we done here?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:03 PM

; )

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:06 PM

I wonder, over the years, how many billable hours I've wasted, baiting idiots by posting inane nonsense?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:07 PM

8:58 = flyover boy

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:10 PM

and now on BV, the new show Shut Ins In Love, starring Perry Mason and Anonymous #2,906

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:15 PM

Uh oh...Mitchgate!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:26 PM

8:58 If you're going to pretend to be from New York at least check the weather report.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:36 PM

Maybe he did not mean beautiful weather he just meant good vibes!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:41 PM

^ Ha. The weather was like fohawk's taint today in Brooklyn.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:41 PM

Also I don't see how he is pretending he lives in NYC, LOL.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:42 PM

Finally, I feel like this conversation has drifted away from the music -- is anyone checking out any of these shows tonight?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:42 PM

Maybe he should speak for himself, or stop talking about himself in the 3rd person, or take his anti-psychotic meds to prevent such splitting episodes in the future

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:46 PM

8:58 stay out of Williamsburg!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:47 PM

This has been an interesting conversation but I am calling it a night -- night, guys!

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 9:58 PM

sad sad very sad losers all of you

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 10:26 PM

^What does it say about someone who took the time to read it all then post a generic comment?

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 10:52 PM

I think the iPod joke is funny.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 11:40 PM

^sure you do, troll

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2012 11:52 PM

I left the Mad Decent party during Bonde do Role since the noise complaints forced the sound guy to keep the music down and that shouting in Portuguese is pure torture without loud music to cover it up. Then the bad weather rolled in. Did Major Lazer even get a chance to play?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2012 7:40 AM

Walter White @ 51

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2012 8:26 AM
