Bad Brains at DeLuna Fest 2012
Bad Brains

Bad Brains will celebrate their 35th anniversary with a new album, featuring all the current/original members that changed the face of punk rock so many moons ago. Into the Future is Bad Brains' new LP and you can look for that on November 20 via Megaforce Records. The band describes the LP as "blends of soulful backgrounds meshed with blistering hardcore and metal riffs, with classic dub."

In the meantime, the previously discussed Bad Brains: A Band in DCfilm will be screened at the Woodstock Film Festival which goes down October 10 -14. Tickets are on sale for those screenings. Head to the Woodstock Film Festival site for info on the full schedule and weekend passes.

So far Bad Brains only have one tour date in their future, on May 18 in Germany at the Ruhrpott Rodeo. The Bad Brains did, however, just bless the Deluna Festival in Pensacola, FL on September 22. More pictures from their appearance are below. If you missed it, pictures from day one at DeLuna are HERE with more pics to come.

Just look at the other member's faces and body language. Why oh why must such a great legacy be tarnished by HR's current mockery?!?

Remember that famous portrait of Christ in Spain that was "restored" by some crazy elderly woman?

That's what HR looks like now.

Get your paws off me, you Damn DIRTY APE!!!

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2012 9:17 AM

what the FUCK, why is HR wearing an ape mask? dude gets loonier and loonier every year!

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2012 9:28 AM

so many comments here completely nail it. if you're an old bastid like me, you CHERISH those memories of BB playing the ritz/irving/CBs, etc. they should've split up for good around 1990. kids seeing them today, well, the best you'll get is that dvd they released from the 1982 shows. the planet of the apes comment is exactly what i thought, too, when i first saw HR's pic in this.

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2012 9:45 AM

When are they gonna finally release that movie on DVD--along with the rumored footage from the legendary 10-18 Club show?????????? When??? Forget these damn film festivals...

How long before VH1 announces a reality show based on the at-home/offstage lunacy of HR? "You thought he was batshit crazy onstage. Wait until you see HR tending his vegetable garden!" is the tagline.

It's not racist to say a guy who looks like a primate looks like a primate. Scarey shit though.

Good thing for me I love the Ramones endlessly and I really enjoy the music of the Smiths, so I get out of this infantile anti-social behavior unscathed.
