Bon Iver at Radio City - 9/20/12 (via Bon Iver Instragram)
Bon Iver

Bon Iver, who just wrapped up a four-night run at Radio City has been revealed as one of the two acts for the last show in FADER and Vitamin Water's #uncapped series, which happens in NYC TONIGHT (9/24) at Angel Orensanz (172 Norfolk St). Spots are very limited and RSVP is open now. If you've been following along, you know that for these shows, FADER and Vitamin Water partner two different artists together. Any guesses on who the other act will be? (hint: Frank Ocean who played ATP Friday night)

The archive of Bon Iver's Radio City show from this past Friday (9/21) is now streaming at the Bowery Presents YouTube Channel for the next 48 hours.

The Uncapped flier is below...

Tyler, the Creator tweeted about a free Frank Ocean show tonight in NYC... it was retweeted by The Fader... just sayin

Posted by marc | September 24, 2012 10:43 AM

Anyone know if they will be sending email confirmation for those that RSVP'd in time?

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 10:44 AM

That came and went really, really, really quickly.

Thank god I hate both those artists. The Avett Bros on the other hand...!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 10:45 AM

Arent they the same poeple? I mean isn't Justin Vernon just Frank Ocean w/ black face on?

The are the same genre; Adult Contemporary.

They should be listened to in the same venue; A dentist's office.

Received identical cooldadfork.com scores; 9.5

Both collabed w/ Kany West.

the proof is out there

Who cares. The show tonight will be Grizzly Bear at Radio City!

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:10 AM

I think you mean the show tonight will be Ty Segall/Thee Oh Sees. Fuck Grizzly Bear at the huge monstrosity. Wait for the upcoming small venue show. Now that will be worth it.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:16 AM

For all you desperate to see this but got shut out, I managed to RSVP but I have no desire to go. So, I am gonna sell mine with the +1. Look for the CL ad in about 10 minutes. Not taking any offers less than 150.00. The lucky winner and their guest will have to meet me there at 7:30 to walk you in.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:19 AM

No 11:16. Saw Thee at ATP last night already. Seen Ty plenty of times. Should be a fun show but it won't match the acoustics at Radio city for Grizzly Bear!

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:21 AM

it's thee chick pees

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:21 AM

Anyone get an email confirmation?

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:22 AM

Bon Iver: 10:00pm

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:24 AM

i wish i was special, you're so fucking special.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:27 AM

I rsvped but didnt get a confirmation email. did anyone else? Am i Set to go tonight or what?

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:33 AM

I got an email confirmation. I assume if you did not get one you are not geting in. These Fader RSVP thingies are always wonky. They probably got overloaded.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:47 AM

1133 just like a lot of fader events, rsvp doesn't guarantee anything. better show up early if you want to check this show out!

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:47 AM

You are a royal idiot 11:21.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:47 AM

"but it won't match the acoustics at Radio city for Grizzly Bear!"

You are a dummy. Unless you are in the first 10 or so rows of Radio City, the sound sucks.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:50 AM

wow i always thought the acoustics at Radio City were amazing, no matter what seat you have

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 12:09 PM

Well either you have no clue what good sound is or you are just clueless 12:09.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 12:17 PM

IT'S SARAH SILVERMAN YOU DUMMIES

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 12:26 PM

My RSVP went through early but I didn't get a confirmation, can anyone else say that they DID get one?

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 12:40 PM

12:40 Same happened to me.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 12:44 PM

12:40 same here... The twitter feed says we should expect it "sometime before the show", i dont think we missed out, i think they are slow to send them all out

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 12:51 PM

I can confirm yes on getting a confirmation. 3 other friends who RSVP'ed as well got them. If that helps at all.

Agreed with 11:47 also. I have been to many Fader events. It is just like VICE. Unless you are on their VIP list, it is not 100% that you will get in. Also agreed about their website being crap. A lot of times people RSVP and their names don't go through.

I'd say if you don't get a confirmation email soon then you did in fact miss out.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 1:04 PM

When is nap, I mean show time.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 1:06 PM

although i was within 2 minutes of the offer, they just told me i'm not confirmed :(

GUYS GUYS GUYS I just puled 4 for tonight, try again!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 1:20 PM

Sucks for you 1:19 but do not despair. I am 11:19 and my Craig's List ad is still up. Get in on the bidding. I have an invite +1 tonight that I am not using and instead selling. Highest offer right now is 225.00. You know you don't want to miss this once in a lifetime show.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 1:31 PM

^Liar.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 1:31 PM

1:31, Oh cool! You mean i can pay you for something that is free?? wow what a deal? you must be the asshole that emailed me this morning. For the record, you are a bad person, and you have no sense of community.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 1:33 PM

Also 1:19,
Don't think you got in 2 minutes from when the RSVP link was up. It's been up for a short while now with only insiders really knowing about it. You can be sure BV had this for days now and only put the info up this morning after they got all their people and friends on the list.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 1:33 PM

1:33... Thats a fair point.. but i did respond within2 minutes of it being posted everywhere, i really was that fast, really frustrated i did not get a spot.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 2:24 PM

Anyone know if theres free drinks at this concert tonight?

Posted by john dpeir | September 24, 2012 4:22 PM

"Anyone know if theres free drinks at this concert tonight?"

Hmm, I don't know MAYBE VITAMIN WATER!?

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 4:29 PM

10:54 - these are all valid points.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 4:33 PM

They're handing out free melatonin, in music form.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 4:38 PM

there's free heineken tonight.

133/135 the rsvp has been up for days, but they rejected anyone that signed up before 10am today. it's gonna be a shitshow though, regardless.

and if you're complaining about people charging money for these spots, that's kinda dumb. it seems so common sense; no one in their right mind would give away their spot for free to some random person. maybe to a friend, but not a craigslist person. i'm surprised people aren't charging more (like above 300) since this seems like such a unique thing. if i didn't get a spot, i'd probably hit up CL looking for one (and would offer money)

anyway, it doesn't even seem like there are spots available on craigslist so idk who the above guy is or if he's frealllll

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 4:55 PM

Anyone have an extra? Pleaaaaaase?

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 5:22 PM

"the rsvp has been up for days, but they rejected anyone that signed up before 10am today."

Oh that is just a flat out lie. You are talking out of your ass. Actually most of the people who responded after 10am today didnt get in.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 5:29 PM

@529 it's true. believe whatever you want, don't care at all. and obviously some people who rsvp'd after 10am didn't get in - thousands of people signed up once it went on twitter and they probably only set aside 100 or so spots for regular folk.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 6:21 PM

How about this is the most boring show ever. White people love trying to jump on the wack late bandwagon

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 9:07 PM

Not that it matters anymore 4:55 but I just caught your followup lie at 6:21. Of course you don't care. Because you are a lying troll.

Myself and everyone I know who RSVP'ed before today got in tonight. You know those of us who did not have to wait till it was announced on twitter but instead had the invite days ago you fucking dumbass.

By the time it was announced to the general public today, there were very few spots left open.

And just look at stupid you sound:

"thousands of people signed up once it went on twitter"

Thousands huh? Idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | September 25, 2012 2:31 AM

@231 yes, thousands rsvp'd. also common sense, since both of these artists have sold out shows very recently at venues that hold over 3,000 people.

"Myself and everyone I know who RSVP'ed before today got in tonight. You know those of us who did not have to wait till it was announced on twitter but instead had the invite days ago you fucking dumbass."

fader even tweeted that they negged everyone who rsvp'd before that morning, bc the rsvp page leaked early before the official fader tweet and was being passed around like crazy over the weekend.

people who are 'in the know' for events like these don't rsvp through general RSVP; they get VIP or Media passes. why am i even typing this.

Posted by Anonymous | September 25, 2012 2:14 PM

Adding to 6:21 and 2:14, my friends and I all RSVP'd on Sat. night, and were all rejected. I know several people who RSVP'd on Monday morning and were accepted, although most of them didn't get inside the actual venue.

Side note; I know who this guy at 1:33 and 2:31 is, based on his tone and some choice key phrases alone. Dave: get a life, hit the gym, and stop being so, so bitter. It's only your fault that no one respects you as a DJ or a person.
