You're LIving All Over Me

Can Dinosaur Jr's You're Living All Over Me really be 25 years old? The record that made it ok for indie rock to have guitar solos (and started concertgoers on a path towards tinnitus) was indeed released in 1987 and still sounds great (if a little tinny) a quarter of a century later. Why yes, you can listen to it on Spotify. Turn it up, dude.

J. Mascis, Murph and Lou Barlow will celebrate the album's milestone by playing the album in full at a concert in NYC at Terminal 5 on December 1 with "Very Special Friends Sitting In and Special Guest Kurt Vile." Tickets go on sale Friday, September 14 at noon. All tour dates are listed below, though none of the others are currently marked as full-album shows.

Meanwhile, Dinosaur Jr.'s new album, I Bet on Sky, is out next week on Jagjaguar which is their third album since getting the original lineup back together in the '00s. You download one track at the top of this post and stream the whole shebang right now over at NPR. The band will be on tour for most of the fall and all Dino Jr. tour dates are below along with the video for You're Living All Over Me's opener "Little Furry Things."

Great band
Great album
Shitty and wrong venue to do this in

What a waste of what could have been a really special show

These guys are one band whose new albums are so good that they shouldn't be doing old album shows. Play the new stuff!

If you think their reunion albums somehow compare to this one, you must have some pretty awesome drugs.

5:30...you're living in the past man...you're fixated on an album from the 80s man.

Posted by Anonymous | September 10, 2012 5:33 PM

@ 5:30 - I do, and I do!

B-O-Z-O

Farm was pretty damn good...that said, Bug sounded pretty good for Terminal 5. It was a fun show, so there are hopes for this show as well (obviously the music is great, but talking more about the venue.)

Posted by Anonymous | September 10, 2012 6:29 PM

Will this be better than Bug show?

Posted by Anonymous | September 10, 2012 6:33 PM

That is their best record. I'm guessing one of their friends who will sit in will be Lee Ranaldo considering he contributed backing vocals to Little Fury Things.

Posted by Anonymous | September 10, 2012 8:04 PM

"I Want You to Know" is from the last record - Farm. It's not on the new record.

Posted by Anonymous | September 10, 2012 9:18 PM

pretty bad

Posted by Anonymous | September 10, 2012 9:49 PM

About as 90's and western mass as it gets...ya know, if trees could talk...

Posted by John Riley | September 10, 2012 11:07 PM

Ha ha ha @ idiots that would miss this b/c T5 will cause them to feel common and make them walk a few blocks. Ha ha ha ha @ sissy boys. Yeah, you all should stay home - it'll suck anyway, right? Ha ha ha ha.

J Mascis in a venue where you can't hear the guitar? genius concept!

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2012 12:43 PM

All of Dinosaur Jr's records are awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2012 2:55 PM

why are we even discussing this? the greatest band of all time is playing their best album front to back, AND kurt vile is opening.

end of discussion.

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2012 3:34 PM

Everybody knows bug put dino on the map that's probably why they chose it to play front to back first . They should know I would think. - In the hand of the fans - . Any body heard of that. I hope so
