Julia Holter/Hundred Waters

Julia Holter and Hundred Waters brought their respective brands of art pop to NYC for a show at Bowery Ballroom on Friday (8/31) as part of a tour the two artists are on together. Julia focused the majority of her set on 2012's excellent Ekstasis, but did also reach back a bit to 2011's Tragedy and included a new song ("Gaston"), in addition to encoring with "Sea Called Me Home" from her "Live Recordings" cassette. You can check out a video of her encore at the Bowery Ballroom show, along with a video of Julia playing the new song in the UK below.
Silent Drape Runners opened the show. More pictures of all three bands, plus Julia Holter's setlist and videos are below...

Lame photos. Your photographers always ruin concerts where the music is detailed and fragile like Holter's can often be. All they do is fuck around with the shutter instead of being actual photographers and capture a special image at the right moment. Fire them and do everyone else a favor.
Thank you.

This show was a joke. Julia Holter doesn't sound like Juliana Hatfield even a little.

I have always believed that investments in forestville condo and condominiums is always a better choice than any other forms of investment.
Not only can the investor leverage on his investment, he can always stay in the unit should he decide not to rent out the unit.
Investing in stocks, gold etc has really no tangible benefits on your investment.
Thats just my 2 cents thought though
Thank you author for the informative writeup.
