Peter Murphy

Goth icon Peter Murphy played Bushwick outdoor venue The Well a couple weeks ago (8/26) and we've got a belated set of pics for you to check out. His set mixed cuts from 2011's Ninth with many of his late '80s alt-rock hits ("Cuts You Up," "All Night Long") as well as a few Bauhaus songs and Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" which Bauhaus covered as a single in 1982.

Setlist from The Well, along with more photos from the show are below...

Why is he closing with a cover? Does it sound like the bauhaus version, which was really similar to Bowie's? Pretty good setlist though

The Well was not a great venue in its current condition. Unfinished dirt pit with portapotties -- and security was aggressive and patted me down and looked in my bag -- for Peter Murphy in a small venue?!

Sound was also an issue. Murphy was having sound issues through his set.

It was a good show if you're familiar with his shows, but comparably, it was gritty Brooklyn style, which I love, but hated the fact that Peter's mic was dominated by the music, so he really had to work his voice to meet the muzik. I was right on the gate in front, and it was, as always, amazing! The Well was a cool venue except for the portapotties. But it was an outside parking lot. Not what I expected for a Peter show but being from Brooklyn, I was thrilled he was playing here and not Manhattan. Think he commented on the fact that he was glad it wasn't Manhattan as well. Memorable! Got the guitarists set list which security for that level, I had no problems with the security.

Sorry. To correct myself...

which security gave me. Because of the gap between gate and stage I coudn't hop up so on that level, I am grateful to the one security guy for giving it to me.
