Judas Priest GAP

According to Judas Priest singer Rob Halford, the heavy-metal legends are considering legal action against clothing retailer the GAP over a T-shirt design-which has since been removed from the company's website-that bears an undeniable resemblance to the cover art of the band's classic album, Screaming For Vengeance. Check out the GAP design, pictured [above] to the left, and let us know what you think in the comments.

Speaking to The Quietus, Halford commented, "Well, it's very naughty of [GAP]. They shouldn't have done that and we're investigating that right now because that's intellectual-property rights. We were never asked, neither was our label. Having said that, pushing the legal side of it to one side, it's brilliant, isn't it? To think that something 30-odd years later is still striking enough to be a fashion moment." [Revolver]

'Screaming For Vengeance' turned 30 in July.

The buyers for the Gap probably aren't even 30 years old so they probably don't even know about the original design!

That's what happens when you get pop-culture challenged 20 something hipster idiots working for a corporation.

Hope they get sued big time

Sue the fuckers!

@4:34 what does 'the buyer' at Gap have to do with this?

Posted by jan jansson | September 13, 2012 4:43 PM

@4:43 They are the ones that pick and choose the clothes that they purchase wholesale and put into their stores.

Not the first time the GAP got into rip off troubles.

FYI, GAP owns Old Navy.

It's funny that you can tell from the times he posts at that sausage/LULZ guy is:

A)Perpetually unemployed
B)A gigantic loser with absolutely no life
C)Literally obsessed with typing the same redundant thing over and over again to get a reaction.

Nice 3 AM post, brah! Your life must rule!

^ Poor ol' Buckeye :-(

You seem really upset with me.

Are you?

Posted by Anonymous | September 14, 2012 10:32 AM

^You posted at 3 am and started posting again 6 hours later. Enough said.

Don't forget to add smh buckeye to your name, LULZY/AMIRITE.

No use in pretending to be different people seeing as how you just outed yourself above. So, so pathetic.

^ C'mon, Buckeye. I'd think you'd be happy cashing all those checks. Y'know, the ones they gave you for keeping up with my posts?

Don't be that way.

Asshole hipster with no life posting sausage comments over and over. Too bad you're a loser

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2012 11:00 PM

4:09 you were waiting for what at 4 in the morning on a sunday? For someone to confirm that your life is clearly no longer worth living when it consists only of posting repetitive jokes that were never even funny in the first place on a blog for music you don't like?

Makes sense.

^ You still seem upset, Buckeye. Maybe all that money they pay you to keep up with my posts isn't enough?

Still waiting.

Posted by Anonymous | September 17, 2012 2:08 PM

4 am, on a sunday, this is your life.

Posted by Anonymous | September 17, 2012 2:25 PM

^ You'd know. Because they pay you to, right?

Makes sense.

Posted by Anonymous | September 17, 2012 2:37 PM

I'm guessing you have me confused with someone else. However, I guess I technically do get paid for this considering I'm currently sitting at a desk at my corporate job killing time, getting paid well for it. Meanwhile you're pretty obviously unemployed. Don't let me ruin the party for you though!

Posted by Anonymous | September 17, 2012 2:47 PM

^ No, I don't.

smh@ U Buckeye
