Snoop
Snoop

The Illuminator, whose mission is "to smash the myths of the information industry and shine a light on the urgent issues of our time", and whose projections have been seen everywhere from the Russian Consulate in Manhattan ("Free Pussy Riot") to Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn "99% Occupy", lit up the rusty facade of the new Barclays Center the other night, as you can see in the pictures above and at the website of Develop Don't Destroy.

Protests continue tonight outside the venue as Jay-Z takes the stage inside (Talib Kweli spins the afterparty).

At first, I was like "fun."

Now, I'm like "whatever, Jay Z is terrible."

I do want to see the inside of the arena eventually. There are $6 seats to Nets games on Stubhub right now.

so did the occupy fucktards stage anything yet? haven't heard peep from the "music subcommittee" or whatever the hell they call themselves, lol.

Ficou lindo esse cenário "natural"!

Posted by Jogos de Moto | September 28, 2012 7:15 PM

The $6 tickets on Stubhub are for a preseason game. I tried getting tickets to the home opener against the Knicks on Monday and they were sold out about ten seconds after they went on sale.

OWS retards are wasting their time.

That arena will do very well.

Go Nets!

Hasn't everyone at this point realized that the whole OWS bullshit is a politically organized scam?

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2012 8:05 PM

Titus Andronicus will be playing arenas soon and you'll all be crying.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2012 8:07 PM

8:05 not yet. People are really fucking stupid.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2012 8:20 PM

If you people ran your own business you would not be bashing any political reform movement.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2012 8:37 PM

^I do, and I am.

What part of being a small business owner inherently makes you think OWS is a good idea? I don't get it.

The Stadium is built and the promised affordable housing complex and hundreds of local jobs never happend. can't you see why people feel swindled. plus all the taxpayer money that was used in laying out the infrastructure.

and as an added bonus the stadium is exempt from paying their employee's the new NYC living wedge standard

I am really happy the OWS team is trying to shed light on the eminent domain abuse that Barclays was responsible for.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2012 5:27 AM

OWS is a grass roots movement fighting the corruption of the Big Banks and the wealthiest 1%.
The mainstream news media has tried to frame them in a poor light... But if you meet them, they are highly educated, highly motivated, very patriotic, and they should have your respect for doing things to better the human race.

7:13-your a fucking idiot

OWS = people who have adopted the position of the radical leftie as their socioeconomic identity. Not for nothing, it's pretty easy to do that. Rhetoric is free.

When any of these little get over kids puts the in the work necessary to get to the level of the 1% and then gives it all back out of principal, I will listen to what they have to say. Until then, the world is the same way it has always been, and money talks and bullshit walks.

Wow, a bunch of white people bitching with a laser show about having their houses taken and being paid millions for it.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2012 9:03 PM

^Yeah, and you're one of 'em, bucko. Now stop crackin' wise and get back in line.

Nice shot ever!

Fuck Barclays. I hope the nets come in Last place.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2012 11:45 AM

Fuck OWS and their evil-minded backers. With any luck, they will all just go away now.
