Occupy Wall Street

In recognition of Occupy Wall Street’s first anniversary there will be a concert, from the Occupy Guitarmy folks who are looking to educate Jay-Z to the OWS cause outside his first show at the Barclays Center, will be held in New York’s Foley Square today (9/16) featuring Tom Morello, Jello Biafra, Michelle Shocked, Lee Ranaldo, Das Racist’s Kool A.D., My Brightest Diamond, and more.

The concert starts at 1 PM, following at march from the West Village and will be an open jam, playing classic protest songs like Woodie Gutherie’s “This Land Is Your Land,” Florence Reece’s “Which Side Are You On?” as well as more modern sing-a-longs like Cee lo Green’s “Fuck You.” More info at the OccupyGuitarmy website.
