Jeff Wilson of Wolvhammer att Saint Vitus (more by Fred Pessaro // BBG)
Chrome Waves

Wolvhammer will head out on the road with Krieg and Doomsday for a set of Midwest/Northeast dates brought to you by BrooklynVegan. The tour is the band's first headlining stint East (excluding their planned and canceled dates with Dragged into Sunlight), and they kick off in Chicago (home base for Wolvhammer and Doomsday), eventually making a stop in NYC towards the end of their trek. Look for the trio to hit Union Pool on November 3. Tickets are on sale.

For the curious, Doomsday is another project for Bob Fouts (The Gates of Slumber) and Jeff Wilson (Wolvhammer) in addition to their Chrome Waves venture (who recently toured and played Saint Vitus).

Way too many side projects. These dudes need to focus.

Huh? Wolvhammer's latest was head and shoulders above their first release and Chrome Waves was one of the best metal releases of the past year and actually even better than the last Wolvhammer.

Not to mention, there is only one dude from Wolvhammer who is involved in any of the above mentioned side projects. What exactly would you like them to focus on?

Just losing track of the score. So Doomsday is a splinter project of Chrome Waves, which is a side project itself?

Yeah, basically. Jeff wilson (wolvhammer and chrome waves) and bob fouts (chrome waves) are the overlapping members.

Anyways, if you dig pretty much any of these bands work I'd definitely check that chrome waves EP. It sounds kind of like a mash up of the new wolvhammer and assassins era nachtmystium. Definitely worth a spin.

Grettings from Brazil.... would love to see this show, all brutal hell shit! Very much love also the side band AS MY PIZZA GROWS COLDER, crazy sick thrash! Keep the spirit of metal and kill all trend!

Doomsday = NOTmystium

Really? Is that a band? hahah....

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 11:58 AM

Wouldn't that mean Doomsday would have like twenty disgruntled folks in the rank?

These sausages need to stop dicking around as my pizza gets colder. Get on your job Jethro!

^ Oh SHIT! You went there, bro. A reference to delivering PIZZA? Damn.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2012 12:28 PM

I know, right? How brutal. wow

Chrome Waves is mediocre and the latest Wolvhammer record doesn't hold a candle to their earlier work.

Cool story, 3:12 aka I only liked the demo guy. I guess now that you've stated the definitive opinion on the matter we can all stop listening to their music and move on.

What was I thinking before, having an opinion of my own? I can only ask that you do the same thing with every other piece of music that gets posted here, the internet is truly lacking in your brand of witty and amazingly intelligent criticism!

Any Krieg fans?
I am going to see them.
