Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire's trip to NYC last week wasn't limited to their Partners in Health panel & performance at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center. They also performed at a Partners in Health event later that night (10/4) at Guastavino's, where they played a new song. Watch below...

--

"Arcade Fire - "Crucified Again". Live premiered on March 29, 2012 at Hotel Oloffson, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This however is the first recording of it. Recorded during an event to celebrate Partners In Health's 25th birthday at Guastavino's in New York City, NY. Date: October 4th, 2012."
Check out a recent interview with Richard Reed Parry at classic FM.

Person sits at keyboard.

Person types 'Smug doofuses' / 'They're still at it eh?'

Person snickers.

Person changes tabs.

Person clicks another link.

Takes a fart.

Smells it for a long time to wallow in the depression of being alone, with dirty underwear, and smelling their own funk.

Person gets up.

Takes a dump.

Gets on with their life.

Person is a smug doofus, who is still at it.

They aren't smug they are actually kind of humble but their weird expressionless faces make them come across as smug.

The thing that bothers me is the This Band Can Do No Wrong attitude of the fans and critics who eat up every little thing this band does and treats it as life changing. This song isn't actually very good (at least in this incarnation) but I'm sure it will have the critics frothing at the mouth anticipating the record of 2013 from the Arcade Fire.

One other thing, if Regine is on drums and Jeremy is playing the acoustic guitar where's Will??? Did Win kick his brother out of the band?

Why are they playing a wedding hall at the foot of the 59th Street Bridge and how much did they get paid??? Had to ship all that gear from Montreal for 1 song!!!

not a new song, btw.

Why this canadian band is taking part in political and social causes events in the US all the time?

"not a new song, btw."

that depends on your definition of "new". This song is unreleased, was performed for the first time in March in Haiti, and never seen on video until now (as the text above says).

"how much did they get paid???"

I highly doubt they got paid. It was a Partners in Health event. They are Partners in Health's biggest supporters.

Win isn't canadian.
