Doldrums (the project of Airick Woodhead) are in NYC this week for a number of CMJ shows, including the Windish showcase at Mercury Lounge (10/17), the M for Montreal showcase at Arlene’s Grocery (10/19), the Bug Fights showcase at Glasslands (10/20), the Tumblr showcase at Knitting Factory (10/20), the Pitchfork/PS1 show at MoMA PS1 (10/20), and the Arbutus showcase at Death by Audio (10/20).
We’re happy to announce that you can also catch them, free of cost, at our BrooklynVegan day party at Public Assembly on Friday (10/19). We’ll also have complimentary PBR, Sailor Jerry spiced rum and Mercy hangover prevention drinks, and the rest of that Friday lineup is coming soon announced!
Airick’s brother Daniel’s band Moon King will be here for CMJ too. He’ll share that Arlene’s Grocery (10/19) bill with Doldrums (and some on-stage collaboration isn’t out of the question). Moon King will also play the Oh My Rockness showcase at Cameo TONIGHT (10/16), the Noisey showcase at Santos (10/17), the Windish showcase at Pianos (10/18), the Kanine showcase at Cameo (10/19), the Deli Mag showcase at Pianos (10/19), and a show at Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday (10/20) with Small Black. Tickets for that BBowl show are on sale now, or you can try to get in with your CMJ badge.
