Gabriel Kahane playing Carnegie Hall tonight with Shara Worden and Brooklyn Rider and other dates

Composer and songwriter Gabriel Kahane is playing Carnegie Hall tonight (10/25) with help from with Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond) and string quartet Brooklyn Rider. The performance includes the debut of The Fiction Issue, which was commissioned by Carnegie Hall, as well as songs by Ryan Adams, Benjamin Britten, Cee Lo Green, Yotam Haber, Charles Ives, Jerome Kern, Andrew Norman, Robert Schumann, and Chris Thile. Tickets are still available, including $10 student rush tickets.

Kahane will be at Carnegie Hall again on November 5 as part of a program called “Uncommon Threads” where he and Julian Lage, Aoife O’Donovan, and the American Contemporary Music Ensemble will be ” exploring the ties between distinctive musical styles.” Reservations for that performance can be made here.

Kahane has other dates around the country coming up as well and those are listed below, along with a stream of the Original Cast Recording of his musical, February House which was released this month.
