PiL @ MHOW (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)

Public Image Ltd, who just played Music Hall of Williamsburg and play a show in Clifton Park tonight, will hit Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC on Saturday (10/13). But first you can catch Sex Pistol John Lydon himself close up and in person at J&R Music World in Manhattan at 12:30pm.

Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees appears at the same store on Wednesday, October 17. PiL play Boston on Monday after taking Sunday off. All dates HERE.

In related news, former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock just announced a tour too.

Hey idiot 4:19:

The Philly show was supposed to be yesterday evening and the signing is tomorrow morning, and it's not a book signing, it's a record/CD signing.

Oh god fuck this guy. What entitles him to the world's continued rapt attention? His 10 month stint in a shitty overrated band 25 years ago?

5:54...why are you so mad? since when is going on tour and doing a signing 'the world's rapt attention'? get a life, ignore him.

any idea what time they go on at Hammerstein tonight? No opening bands...?

You guys are a bunch of morons....don't comment if you're not interested. I went to the signing, and he was funny as hell, and very accommodating.
3:33, he mentioned at the signing that they would be starting earlier than anticipated because they ran into issues regarding the curfew. He said 8:15/8:30, and that would play as long as they'd like. Have fun!

5:54 only likes Radiohead and Tom York.

3:33... he said today at his fantastic CD/LP signing that they are going on at about 8:15.

the philly show was most likely cancelled due to low ticket sales..the place they were playing is like the little brother of T5 called Electric Factory and holds 2500. Last time when they played Atlantic City there were 100 people in attendance..lord knows why they picked that place when there were so many better alternatives..

What made signing so fantastic? Did he talk to crowd? How long was each person spending with him?

What if Pil gave show and nobody came? at a stretch Ham show was 25 to 30% capacity. who was the booking agent for this venue? weird vibe to see so few people in this gigantic space.

Pil gave a solid workmanlike performance tho Albatross + Graveyard were smoking hot. for me a couple of the newer songs didn't work as well- Reggie Song kind of blows and Out of the Woods didn't quite live up to the studio version.

Rise sounded great as did Open Up when after almost 2 hrs the (smallish) crowd finally came to life.

^ I can concur to that as well.

Holy bass-kill by the end!

Remember, Nancy gave Sids baby an abortion.

When does John Lydon start his run in Vegas? I think a PiL show coupled with an evening of slots and an Early Bird supper sounds like a package I could get behind.

Very interesting article, I look forward to more research coming out regarding the remaining two thirds

Theres about maybe 10 interesting metal bands who have been around for a while out 10,000 or so that pop up every 5 mins lately.
