tree down near Prospect Park on PPW - 10/30/2012

"In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, which left a trail of deadly destruction, devastating power failures and extensive flooding, millions of people in the New York metropolitan region spent Tuesday assessing the damage and preparing for the possibility that it could be days or even weeks before life returned to normal. As a quick perusal of our "hurricanes" and "Hurricane Sandy" tags will prove, we've been keeping busy this unprecedented hurricane. One glance at our "pictures" category and you'll see that we also like to post pictures taken by an assortment of BrooklynVegan photographers. Here's another post about the hurricane and some more original pictures. They continue below...Throughout the day on Tuesday, there were reports of daring rescue operations as people began to grasp the magnitude of the damage done by the violent winds and lashing rains that transformed the landscapes of New York City and the wider region into tableaus of destruction both stark and unprecedented..." Believe me...I'm glad there wasn't more damage...but I fail to see the point of the Williamsburg/Bushwick photos. They just look like a typical rainy day.

Glad there wasnt more damage also. Its crazy some of those massive trees came out of the ground.
Also refreshing to not see rude comments about this expensive mess. Lower Manhattan still without electricity for 90 percent of the people.

Oh, here we go Miss Crazy As Fuck Commie Bastard acting up again! What, the Lithium run out during the storm surge? It must be hard.
Such strawman lies as your repetition compulsion keep your typing are the kind of lies that liars make when they don't want you to look at the record of damage they have left for the past 4 years. Look at the polls, funny boy - the whole country has turned. You are alone in your drivel. Send us a postcard from France when R&R win in 5 days.

2:17 - Reality check time Mr. right wing fanatic. Romney really needed the week leading up to the election to try and restore some momentum after two debate beatings in a row. Instead, public attention is not focused on the campaign because of the hurricane and all they're seeing is Obama looking authoritative and presidential as he and FEMA (which, as a reminder, Romney wants to abolish) work with people to overcome this tragedy...and Romney can't even trash talk because he will be perceived as insensitive if he mud slings during this crisis. Romney fever is over chump.
