Morrissey

Morrissey completed his three-night run in NYC last night, Saturday, 10/13 at Terminal 5 where he also played one night earlier. All shows were with tour-mate Kristeen Young. Pictures and setlist from the Friday night show are in this post.

The first of three NYC shows, unlike the last two, was at Radio City Music Hall (pics HERE, Dave Hill review HERE). That came right after an appearance on The Colbert Show.

Though the setlists varied, each night included nods to his days with The Smiths in addition to solo work. Saturday night pics & setlist coming shortly. Friday stuff below...

Nice wide leg Levis, faggggggg.

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2012 11:28 PM

You're the one for me fatty, indeed

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2012 11:39 PM

He's pretty .....thick for someone who doesn't eat meat, isn't he?

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2012 11:49 PM

Hey, next to James Murphy he looks like Iggy Pop.

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2012 11:49 PM

why doesn't he seem to ever play suedehead anymore. lame.

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2012 11:51 PM

phenomenal show

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:31 AM

I'm a huge Morrissey and The Smiths fan having seen both many times but the fans rushing the stage, taking his shirt off, playing too many of his weaker tunes, having that wench open for him and doing the one song encores got old years ago. I hope everyone had fun but I decided to pass this time.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:54 AM

I had much fun. Thanks for asking, 1:54.

Posted by ME | October 15, 2012 2:24 AM

Morr issey, please!

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 2:50 AM

wow 4 smiths songs! That's a low!

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 7:57 AM

What a great show! :-)
And no, he's not fat. He's actually lost about 20-30 pounds from where he was about 4 or 5 years ago.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 8:32 AM

Don't forget, vegetarians can be on the donut diet. Just like James.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 8:55 AM

The man is in his 50s. You suggest that he should try and wear skinny j.e.a.n.s like you probably do? You could use a pair of big boy pants yourself 11:28.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 9:09 AM

how old is he now?
i thought he looked good for his age, he is not a kid anymore, and i'd rather see a stocky healthy guy than a skinny twat with bones sticking out

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 9:23 AM

11:51, I thought he played suedehead at one of the radio city shows?

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 9:36 AM

First time seeing Moz, and I thought is was a quality show if not a bit too short. Agree, more Smiths would have been great, but they broke up a long time ago so I understand the focus on more current material.

Between these two shows and Eagles of Death Metal / Afghan Whigs one last week - let's just say that the T5-hater that posts his garbage every single thread about T5 is losing what's left of his self respect and good judgement. These past two weekends have given us a string of quality performances.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 9:45 AM

@7:57-only 3 smiths songs-and one was meat is murder :(((( hate 2 say it but this show was weak.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 9:46 AM

Well I count your the one for me Fatty

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 10:02 AM

The energy of this show was 100% better than RCMH. Sorry, but that is the truth.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 10:04 AM

"Thift store Bjork" opened all these shows?

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 10:33 AM

agree with the energy, people were definitely into it, and Morrissey, for once, seemed to be enjoying himself as well

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 10:45 AM

"let's just say that the T5-hater that posts his garbage every single thread about T5 is losing what's left of his self respect and good judgement. These past two weekends have given us a string of quality performances."

Yes it is just one person who says T5 is a bad venue. So sayeth the non discerning concert schmuck who only saw Morrissey for the first time and spouts on about how great Afghan Whigs was at T5 when they played a much smaller and superior venue the same week.

Do you even realize how stupid you are?

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 11:09 AM

^You seem to care about this issue, a lot.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 11:26 AM

reading these posts I do not see the point of people getting angry over a show that's past, and even more, over a venue taht supposedly you would never attend
so if you did not go to the show and are not planning to go to that venue, how do you judge others if from the start you are trying to influence other people's opinions?

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 11:28 AM

Seemed to me like he phoned in Saturday night.... Anybody else?

Posted by GW | October 15, 2012 11:31 AM

@11:26, I made the post at 11:09. WHy does it seem I care a lot? Cause i made a comment in response to someone else's comment?

Seems like you care a lot that you needed to take time out from your day to make a comment as well.

@11:28, who said I have never gone to that venue?

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 11:38 AM

Say what you may but I thought it was a great show, his voice was in fine form, the band rocked and T5 was tolerable.

^^^^ Your video sucks you tool and actually makes the case for the opposite of what you said.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 11:58 AM

11:09/11:38 - Bravo! You have proven unequivocally that you are the biggest waste of protoplasm to ever walk this dear old sod. I'd say that you need to go far away, but I'm sure that seems unreasonable to you since you'd have to leave your mom's basement in West Islip. Instead, why not just eatabagadicks.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 12:12 PM

"Kristeen OLD more like it!"

Settle down there Chip Chipperson

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 12:15 PM

He's probably playing fewer Smiths songs because people keep bothering him with reunion questions lately.

Posted by Crosseyed Sniper | October 15, 2012 12:33 PM

Another LULLZZ@12:12 posting frantically at 12:21/12:23 and 12:32

Relax kid, It is gonna be ok. Morrissey loves you.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 12:50 PM

^ I am 12:32 and that was my first post on this thread. So sorry that your troll failed though, West Islip boy. Maybe you should stick to pizza delivery?

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:25 PM

West Islip is a shithole, for real. 11:09/11:38/12:50 - you must be a real fuckwad to live there. Sucks to be you, brah!

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:35 PM

I worked with somebody who lived in West Islip and by all accounts it sounded like a nice place. She would say the homes south of Montauk Highway were especially lovely.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:38 PM

^ Oh yeah sure it was your first post. Of course. Yes because you say so.

Oh and West Islip? Think you are confusing comments in your angry state.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:39 PM

"West Islip pizza delivery sir, I have your pizza out here .... yes, I'll wait "

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:41 PM

West Islip is better than East Islip, but it is by no means a "lovely" place. It is a haven for meth labs and metalheads. Like 11:09.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 1:43 PM

Dude-
1:49/2:47 and all the other times you post on here and other threads.

Do you not even get the irony here with you calling anyone else a troll? Seriously? You have made a cottage industry on this blog with your stupid nonsense.

Buckeye Shrimper
Troll
pizza delivery
st vitus glory hole
amirite

to name but a few

The only thing I am wondering is are you dating the ipod's loser? You guys seem like you would make a great couple and certainly have a lot of free time on your hands to spend with each other.

Anyway over to you with more of your stupidity.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2012 2:54 PM
