Smashing Pumpkins at Terminal 5 in 2011 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Smashing Pumpkins

After the parade, probably the biggest NYC Halloween cancellation is now Smashing Pumpkins at Barclays Center which officially has been postponed "due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Ticket holders should keep their tickets for an upcoming rescheduled date. We will announce more information soon."

This is now the fourth Barclays Center concert to be cancelled or postponed. Two of those, the other being Journey, were because of the hurricane.

I'm surprised they're not outright cancelling this show, given the lack of ticket sales.

Very undersold, very overpriced concert. The promoters didn't put the second level on sale.

^ Not true. It wasn't postponed until after the fact, it didn't get postponed and then it happened. I went, attended, and there it was not postponed before the set-list, and then it was too late. So it already happened but it got moved and cancelled for another period.

hopefully they can move it to a smaller venue and bump the price down for everyone...

If they move it to a smaller venue, they'll RAISE the price for everyone.
