Alabama Shakes and Cheeseburgers and Fries and super-size it.

I hope BV is being well paid to cover Alabama Shakes because that's the only reason that makes sense. They are terrible, boring, classic rock with painful show-off tendencies. Shitty long guitar solos, meandering 'jams', American idol-style vocal histrionics from the fat lady... It's crap.

ME WANT COOKIES!

Yeah 11:55. Fuck those musicians who know how to sing and play music.

Posted by Anonymous | October 13, 2012 10:33 AM

11:55 here. It's not enough to be able to sing extended high notes and play technically proficient music to make great music. And, yes, to make music that moves people sometimes you don't even have to be that technically proficient. You just have to be creatively talented. Alabama Shakes, creatively, are mediocre classic rock being played by decent musicians. But it's still crap.

All you fat-intolerant fools should just bugger off. Alabama shakes is an excellent band-- I just saw them for the first time during their ACL set, and all 5 people in our house were totally taken by them. That so many of you chose to comment on the singer's weight rather than their music really pisses me off. Get a freakin' clue.
