Revelation Records' 25th Anniversary weekend rolls on with Chain Of Strength headlining Irving Plaza.

It's the last-ever show at DIY space 171 Lombardy tonight (at least with the current tenants) and they're throwing a big goodbye party with Le Rug, Team Spirit, Jangula, Chappo, Cool Serbia, Butter The Children, Surfing, and Lazyeyes.

this isn't a Lionel Ritchie 'early like sunday morning post, nor a sunday papers cup of coffee post .It's a Saturday night rock n' roll post.Mercury Lounge CHROME CRANKS have to had made a deal with the devil to play rock n roll like they did tonight.Loud, abrasive, bluesy rock roll. Hanging in the shadow of IGGY POP and knockin' hips with the CRAMPS their sound is nothing short of incendiary. The crowd, no cell phone posting, lame chatting or the like..just locked in the groove that the band put out with every tune.Thank the lord, ah, well, thank you CHROME CRANKS, for putting the foot up the ass of rock n roll.

Who's going to see Pretty Girls Make Graves and The Dears on Sunday?

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2012 5:00 AM

Morrissey at Terminal 5 on Saturday nite: he played tons of the Smiths hits. So much better than the other shows. He killed it. We got to hear Some Girls, Big Mouth, Stop Me, Panic, Girlfriend in a Coma.
