It's CMJ week in NYC and, in addition to all of the showcases at night, that means venues will be hosting day parties, almost of all of which are totally free to the public, with or without a CMJ badge. Those parties are listed above, and we've pointed out which are free and when RSVP is required. Most start at or around noon, some a bit later. Another What's Going On post with tonight's shows will be posted later today.

If you're headed to the Floating Fest day party at Pianos today, be sure to check out San Francisco's Sam Flax, who plays upstairs at 3:30 PM. That party also includes Hundred Waters, who play a number of shows, including the BV day party on Saturday and Murals, who play the BV day party on Friday.

In addition to thier KEXP day show at Union Square Ballroom and headlining slot at Captured Tracks' showcase at Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight, DIIV are also playing The Hoodie Shop on Orchard with Sea Wolf, Conveyor, Team Spirit, Last Bistonas part of a Bonnaroo365 party. We're told it's invite-only.
