"I'm about to see @tedleo in his pajamas. #FirstNightOnBus" - Aimee Mann

After much confusion about the Aimee Mann and Ted Leo shows that were initially supposed to happen at Bowery Ballroom on Monday (10/29) and Music Hall of Williamsburg on Tuesday (10/30), Aimee and Ted ended up playing Music Hall of Williamsburg on Wednesday (10/31) and honored tickets purchased for either show, and they're working on rescheduling the Bowery Ballroom show for next week. Despite all of that chaos, it was a relief when they decided to play on Wednesday, until they ran into more chaos, totally unrelated to Sandy. Someone pulled the fire alarm at MHOW a little while after doors opened, sending everyone out onto the street. Fortunately, it was a false alarm and the show ended up going on as planned.
The crowd was smaller than it probably would have been without Hurricane Sandy, but hopefully anyone who wasn't able to make it will be able to catch the Bowery show when it's rescheduled. Aimee wrote a song due to the events that took place this week called "Oh Sandy," which she performed at the show, and you can watch a video of that below. Ted also joined Aimee on stage during her set at the show (as pictured above). More pictures from the show and that "Oh Sandy" video are below.

What dickweed would pull the fire alarm at a crowded show?

uplifting show. tight band. Only Aimee Mann and her self-effacing sense of humor can get away w/a spoof hurricane Sandy song.
Ted was solid -- as he always is.
