These are the ones who stand to benefit most from the big O - they'll likely always remain on either the lowest end of the middle class or the highest end of the upper class - either they'll need all the free stuff they can get or will be untouched by the taxes. Either way, middle classers, be prepared for a painful four years. Someone has to pay for this deficit, especially since I doubt Obama's spending will be curtailed.

I'll still have money left over for a plane ticket and a bag o weed. I'll take it. There's absolutely no proof that Romney would have yielded better results for the middle class

If republicans ever want to win they need to seriously start focusing on people.

Eventually they will need to compromise in order to win votes because their base is shrinking.

Isn't Cadence Weapon Canadian? How exactly does he have a black president?

Posted by anonymous | November 7, 2012 9:24 AM

man you guys are party poopers. Obama!!

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 9:52 AM

what a bunch of dopes

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 9:56 AM

Please... somebody get Ja Rule on the phone so I can make sense of all this.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 9:56 AM

Here's looking forward to several days of Romneyites whining.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 10:07 AM

Who really knows whether Obama's or Romney's plan is better for the economy? (The tax cuts to the rich really don't make that much sense to me though.)

What matters is the people of this country. The Democratic party right now is inclusive: all races, genders, sexual orientations, etc. are welcome. The Republican party right now is simply not.

Bill Maher said it best. "If you are Republican, you are not necessarily a racist, but if you are a racist, you are probably a Republican."

Colin Meloy uses the word fuck ?? Oh my...

No commentary from Kid Rock?

Why does Brooklyn Vegan, of all places, bring out such conservative pricks in the comments?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 10:15 AM

"Why does Brooklyn Vegan, of all places, bring out such conservative pricks in the comments?"

I think it's because people who grew up in the "alternative music" scene or whatever grew up, started making a little money and got pissy that the government was "taking" their money. I wonder the same thing though.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 10:18 AM

I grew up on "alternative music" and started making a little money. Those events did not cause me to turn my back on society and progress in favor of a narrow-minded conservative regime. Forward!

NOW will Ice Cube finally have dinner with the President?

Posted by Crosseyed Sniper | November 7, 2012 10:39 AM

"Why does Brooklyn Vegan, of all places, bring out such conservative pricks in the comments?"

My theory is it's mostly the same 5 basement-dwelling mouth breathers posting multiple times.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 10:44 AM

I literally recognize like 5 of those "celebrities" and care nothing about what any of them has to say.

#whereisjahrule

"My theory is it's mostly the same 5 basement-dwelling mouth breathers posting multiple times."

You, sir, are an inflamed asshole. Must be nice and warm in your life filled with hate.

^Says the basement dwelling loser

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 11:04 AM

wonder how many of those people actually voted. i'd bet dollars to donuts that wiz khalifa did not vote.

Posted by jan jansson | November 7, 2012 11:08 AM

Could care less what a bunch of celebrities tweet. And I say this as somebody who voted for Obama. I just hate twitter and tweets and don't understand what makes every brain fart from a celebrity newsworthy.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 11:09 AM

^ I'm sorry that you care so much about what they tweet. Personally, I COULDN'T care less what a bunch of celebrities tweet. English am tough. Keep working on it and you'll be fluent in no time.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 11:47 AM

FUCK YOU ASSHOLE^. IT'S A TYPO. YOU'RE A CUNT.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 12:17 PM

I wonder how many languages 11:47 speaks.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 12:18 PM

@12:17 - Bullshit. It's a malapropism, not a typo.
@12:18 - I speak three languages.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 12:51 PM

The phrase "could care less" is originally based off of a dry form of sarcasm, and isn't actually bad English…

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 1:06 PM

Well the guy who said it claims he made a typo, so you explain it to him.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 1:07 PM

I bet they all use Macs.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 1:08 PM

i've been in the alt scene since mid 90's and just because i make a shit ton of money doesn't mean i'm a dumbshit republican..money doesn't change my views

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 1:59 PM

Figures that the lib jerkoffs are the internet spelling/diction Nazis. Very small leap there.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:05 PM

^ Cool story, bro.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:07 PM

2:05 - Yes, that's right. We're smarter than you. You could get us back by trying harder not to be stupid. Maybe think before you speak or type?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:11 PM

^ says the racist, hate filled pinko

Yeah, we're all jealous of you (keep telling yourself that).

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:13 PM

Pinko?

LOL, you are 90 yrs old.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:14 PM

racist pinko? wtf? who are you referring to and why?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:16 PM

Not surprised at the list of artists and the comments (they at least seem to read as comments lol), but I would like to see the other side of those comments. Where the more arch-conservatives react like they need their diaper changed. That would be much funnier.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:18 PM

he's referring to anonymous, adoy!

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:32 PM

LULZ @ idiot libs getting all concerned over being called "pinko" but not denying their racist or hate-filled psyches.

Oh, you didn't realize that ...?!

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:34 PM

^ See 2:16. Now you're just being weird.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:39 PM

Uh, I think people are actually just laughing at you?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:39 PM

Civil War is now the only option.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:39 PM

I'm not laughing 2:39, and I don't remember appointing you to speak for me. So go eat a bag of dicks now.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:45 PM

Yes, they're laughing at you.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 2:54 PM

who the fuck cares what these talentless artists think?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 3:02 PM

3:02 = "I don't agree with these people's opinions, so they must be talentless". CALL THE WAAAAMBULANCE!

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 3:15 PM

Y, crazy right winger pricks at BV - who knew?

Billyburgers for all! - Dr. Grammar

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 7:41 PM

Ran into a dejected Republican today. Punched him in the face for good measure. Felt good!
4 more years! 4 more years!

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 8:59 PM

Ran into a flaming libutard lsiping "four more yee-ahs, four more yee-ahs" in the street today.

I hit him over the head with a fucking pipe, then took a piss on his involuntarily twitching body, still gurgling something about "ma-ma-ma-mookie" or some such shit.

End of story.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 9:06 PM

Obama is a man-child, blaming everyone else for what he has created. how can you be a cheerleader for this empty suit?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 9:45 PM

^ U MAD

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 10:01 PM

Commenters react to artists' reaction to Obama's win

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2012 11:21 PM

Decline is a choice and America made that choice.

Posted by Anonymous | November 8, 2012 11:01 AM

Let us all celebrate this landslide victory and a sterling 4 year record from this Nobel Peace Prize Winner!

Posted by Anonymous | November 8, 2012 1:20 PM

Landslide victory? He received 15% less votes than 2008. More people voted to re-elect Bush than they did Obama.

Before I get called a conservative or Republican, I did not vote for Romney (or McCain or Bush or Dole or ...) Just pointing out that if getting re-elected is a metric of success, than Bush Jr did better than Obama.

Posted by Anonymous | November 8, 2012 1:47 PM

1:20 was pretty clear in his sarcasm, dude.

Posted by Anonymous | November 8, 2012 2:30 PM

I would vote for Reagan again in a heartbeat
full stop

Posted by Anonymous | November 8, 2012 2:34 PM

Yes! America deserves this punishment!

Posted by slimy | November 8, 2012 11:55 PM

It was a "lose-lose" bet anyway! Voting is just a placebo button (like the cross walk button and the elevator door close button)

Posted by steel | November 9, 2012 12:01 AM
