UPDATE (11/3): Santos just announced that, “Due to complications in the wake of Sandy, we regret to announce that our events for this wknd are canceled. Refer to site for more info.” Show is now Monday, November 5.

Oklahoma’s Colourmusic are currently on tour supporting Shiny Toy Guns, both of whom were supposed to play Santos Party House on Tuesday (10/30) which didn’t happen as that part of Manhattan had no power. But with the juice back on, the show has been rescheduled for Saturday night (11/3) now Monday (11/5) where they’ll be joined by MNDR and Static Summer. It’s an early show — doors at 5:30 PM and it’ll all be over by 11 PM — and Tickets are still available.

Colourmusic were one of gave one of the most memorable shows I saw at SXSW 2011, when I wrote, “Stillwater’s Colourmusic lay down some awesome Can-style prog, made extra heavy with two bassists. Flaming Lips, early-’90s psych influence casts a shadow on them too.” Even if you don’t care about the headliner, they’re worth checking out (though tickets are $20). You can stream last year’s underrated My ____ Is Pink below via Spotify, along with a couple viscera-soaked music videos.
