Desaparecidos at FYF Fest 2012 (more by Debi Del Grande)
Desaparecidos

Earlier this year, Conor Oberst reformed his old punk band, Desaparecidos, who were only around briefly from 2001-2002. They only played a few shows, including FYF Fest, and now it looks like they've got more scheduled for 2013, including NYC which happens on February 26 at Webster Hall. The punk-oriented bill includes brash pop punks Joyce Manor and ex-Rival Schools/Thursday project States & Kingdoms. Tickets go on AmEx and Fan presale today (11/28) at noon with a general on-sale starting Friday (11/30) at noon.

UPDATE: The full tour was announced and includes Joyce Manor on every date. All dates, including an Asbury Park show at The Stone Pony on February 15, are listed below.

A full 2013 tour has not been announced yet, but all currently known dates are listed below, along with a stream of "MariKKKopa," a new track Desaparecidos dropped earlier this year.

Desaparecidos > Grimes, Tame Impala, Crystal Castles, DIIV, Ariel Pink, Purity Ring and other Pitchfork flavor of the week

Conor's last album should have been called "Shit Sandwich".

939 I don't think you understand that 95% of Pitchfork's Best new music or flavor of the week bands are worse than Desaparecidos...

I love this band and don't give a shit about any of his other projects.

939 See. Even Bright Eyes hater like 1012 likes Desaparecidos. And they only have one album out. That should tell you something...

Will they finally finish the album they'd recorded in 03/04? All Conor had to do was lay the vocals down.
