How to help Occupy Sandy on Thanksgiving Day

HOW TO HELP OCCUPY SANDY ON THANKSGIVING DAY

1. Drop off food supplies – Please take food supplies to the kitchen at St. Johns (located at 9818 Fort Hamilton Parkway), any time between 8am, Wednesday morning until 6pm, Thursday evening. They will be preparing Thanksgiving meals.

2. Help prepare meals – Experienced people, please come to the kitchen at St. Johns (located at 9818 Fort Hamilton Parkway) for one of the following shifts:
Wednesday Day – 8am to 6pm
Wednesday Night – 7pm to 2am (the kitchen will be open all night, so volunteers can stay later)
Thursday Morning – All morning

3. Help support Thanksgiving activities at the recovery sites – St. Jacobi Church (Between 54th and 55th on 4th Ave in Sunset Park) will be taking in and dispatching volunteers and cars to recovery sites from 8am until 2pm on Thanksgiving day.

Note:
St. Jacobi will not be taking in supplies on Thanksgiving day.
520 Clinton will be CLOSED all Thanksgiving day.
