Unless it's new shit, I ain't interested

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 6:05 PM

LOL didn't OWS implode from lack of any purpose?

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 6:21 PM

Playing the same setlist from 15 years ago?

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 6:27 PM

he will do this tour, do a uk tour, play some more shows in ny / pa / nj - then wait a few months then do it all again as neutral milk hotel

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 6:35 PM

I will be there to take tons of pictures and videos. He likes that.

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 7:08 PM

it must be nice to live your life as if its still 1998

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 8:48 PM

Have the kids figured out that they weren't missing anything while this dude was MIA?

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 9:02 PM

fuck this shit.

Posted by Anonymous | November 12, 2012 9:25 PM

Agreed. FUCK THIS SHIT JEFF. You're making the PIxies bullshit seem legit.

Nice try.. The Pixies have been on their reunion tour for over 8 years ! and before they split up they toured a lot and ran their course. NMH toured sparsely for a few years to small crowds and stopped just as they started getting popular.. Jeff has just done one US tour very spread out just over about a years time.. hitting mostly major cities.. now he's making good on his promise in going to places he didn't go before (or ever) so people who never saw him before can see him play... (what a concept !) If he goes out on another major city solo tour then you can start t question.. if he does tour again my guess is he will do it with the full band which is a different experience.. He just made a lot of people happy in these out of the way cities..but maybe thats just the non-cynical take on it.

5:21 OWS has not imploded.

They are still very active and in fact leading the the recovery efforts for those that lost everything in Sandy.

I wasn't too keen on the no message protesting, but what they've done in the last two weeks or so has certainly changed my views about the group.

^Me too. Hippies are good at gathering batteries and making sandwhiches. Huricane relief is actually the perfect use for these otherwise useless kidults.

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 9:29 AM

^yep, they need to lay of the whack job economic theories and focus in on bologna sandwiches.

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 9:47 AM

I came here looking for a hummus post and finding none, I needed to create my own.

Haters stay home and pine away for a new release that ranks with "In the Aeroplane..." I'll be there for my heaping helping of 1998.

LULZ @ 11:59

Dude, seriously, aren't you maybe just a little too concerned about this?

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 10:04 AM

Everybody cashes in at some point.

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 10:10 AM

Did any of the OWS people shower before they showed up to help? I was just thinking that they could easily be confused with disaster victims.

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 10:31 AM

If you think this dude is making much money at all with this comeback, then you are the ones living in 1998, my friends. Musicians barely make any income anymore. It's amazing there are any of them left.

He's probably one of the few artists of his generation that still makes any money of old record royalties, but I'm sure even that is not much.

I'm glad he's touring. It's good to see him playing music again.

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 12:58 PM

I'm sure he's making money.. and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that... He is good at his job.

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 3:06 PM

If you are a true socialist there is absolutely something wrong with making money. If you make money, that means someone else is not making the money, and that's not fair now is it? We have to be fair, and as such he should be limited to making only enough to live on. No jet planes, no sushi lunches, no golf in the afternoon ... oh, wait, I was talking about Obama. Never mind.

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 3:26 PM

Obama isn't a socialist either... so whats your point ?

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 4:50 PM

^ ha ha ha ha ha
dumb as fuck right there

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 5:03 PM

He's playing Ani DiFranco's venue! Awesome!

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 6:08 PM

serious question, why doesn't he do a neutral milk hotel tour? why is it only him?

Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2012 11:38 PM

well he wrote and sang all the songs .. NMH was really just a moniker for him up until he had a steady backing band in the mid it is NMH just solo / acoustic.

I think he will get full band back together at some point.

Posted by Anonymous | November 14, 2012 5:24 PM

Detroit tickets sold out in 20 minutes? Site is down. Anybody know anything?

Posted by crispin glover | November 15, 2012 10:23 AM

Posted by alethio | November 15, 2012 1:26 PM

this is BULLSHIT

Posted by Anonymous | November 16, 2012 11:13 AM

Don't waste your money on this greedy millionaire who hasn't written a song in 15 years.

Posted by Anonymous | November 23, 2012 4:56 PM

Whoa look at all this negativity! There are a lot of people who want to see Jeff do this, it's up to them if they wanna pay for it. I think it's great
