John Vanderslice didn't let Hurricane Sandy affect his tour w/ Crooked Fingers, dressed up as Tigger for Halloween

John Vanderslice and Crooked Fingers kicked off their tour together in Raleigh, NC on Tuesday (10/30), and despite Hurricane Sandy, they’ve been moving on as planned, having played DC last night (10/31) and they’ll be in Philly tonight (11/1). For last night’s show, which was Halloween, John Vanderslice dressed up as Tigger (pictured above), and said that DC was chaos with “Halloween revelers, cops everywhere, and a massive fire in NE.” And if this tweet is to be believed, we might see John’s Tigger costume at the NYC area shows too.

The NYC area shows happen on Friday (11/2) at The Bell House and Sunday (11/4) at Maxwell’s, both of which still appear to be on. Tickets for both the Bell House show and the Maxwell’s show are still available.

John Vanderslice also joined Aimee Mann on stage at The Fillmore in San Francisco, when her tour brought her to that venue back in September. Aimee’s tour was supposed to hit NYC for two shows with Ted Leo this week but Hurricane Sandy made like a thousand changes to their schedule. They ended up postponing their Bowery Ballroom show to a TBA date and played Music Hall of Williamsburg last night (more on that soon).
