Aftermath of the Rockaways post-Sandy (more by Gretchen Robinette)Hurricane Sandy

Madison Square Garden have cleared the way for a benefit concert on December 12 (12/12/12) to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy. No artists have been announced thus far, but Clear Channel Entertainment, the Weinstein Company and the Madison Square Garden Company are all involved.. the same trio that organizied "The Concert for New York City" after the 9/11 that featured David Bowie, Jay-Z, Eric Clapton, The Who, Janet Jackson, Elton John, Paul McCartney and many many notable others. Stay tuned for updates.

Meanwhile, you can help raise money for Sandy relief by partying with Dan Deacon twice in NYC this week.

You can also sign up for a Tuesday or Wednesday volunteer slot at the Park Slope Armory.

Madonna plays MSG tonight (11/12).

Stones wont happen. Even for Concert of NYC, they were only able to get Mick adnd Keith and they did Miss You and one song no one wanted to hear.

Going to be ridiculously expensive, boring schlock. Watched the concert for NYC on tv once and it was mind-numbingly dull.

I hope that Tom Hanks comes with that wacky new mustache. He's such a good actor, he's got so much stuff to say.

Still no news on this. Nothing on the MSG website, which says the Rangers are playing Montreal at the Garden that night.
