Mumford & Sons

Mumford & Sons being a "big" band is not really news (in fact only Taylor Swift had a bigger debut sales week this year), so it should not be a surprise that the band, who played SNL in October, just announced headlining dates that include TD Garden in Boston, Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Patriot Center in VA, and Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden. Not counting pre-sales, tickets for all four of those East Coast February 2013 shows go on sale Friday, 11//9, at 10am.

Meanwhile the band plays two big shows in LA next week (one with Dirty Projectors, one with Dawes). All dates are listed, along with the band's new video for "Lover Of The Light" starring (and co-directed by) Idris Elba, below...

It's funny the things that become popular. No way the populous would embrace any actual Irish folk/bluegrass or whatever this craze is supposed to be. These guys are simply U2 circa early the 00's trying to pull the wool over everybody's eyes with their "authentic" acoustic instruments. As authentic to their "roots" as Taylor Swift is to country. Barclays is suitable for such overblown nonsense.

Oh, come on, you can't be THAT shocked this is popular. You're entitled to like whatever you like but don't be surprised when the vast majority of people don't respond to stuff like Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective, etc.
