cleaning up at Printed Matter after Sandy
Printed Matter

Printed Matter says:

Printed Matter, Inc. is the world's most comprehensive and up-to-date resource for artists' publications. Through our storefront in New York City and through our web site, we provide artists' books, multiples, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, and other experimental publications by artists to an expanding audience.

But Printed Matter is much more than a bookstore! We offer a full schedule of activities and programs, including critically acclaimed exhibitions, a publishing series, book launches, artists' presentations and projects, and a range of educational and consulting services, as well as the annual NY Art Book Fair. Printed Matter serves as an advocate for the artists working in the medium of artists' publications, and as the world's leading public and professional resource for this material. Artists, curators, educators, students, librarians, collectors, and the public at large rely on Printed Matter to discover and learn about the vast array of activity in the field of artists' publications.

In order to keep on top of the constantly evolving world of artists' publications, and to bring this world to a wide audience, Printed Matter needs your help! Your tax-deductible contribution to Printed Matter helps us support and promote innovative new publications from around the world. No contribution is too small-or too large!

*Following Hurricane Sandy, Printed Matter experienced significant flood damage to our basement storage, where we kept large quantities of inventory, and the Printed Matter Archive. We are currently accepting donations to be put in part towards the restoration and digitization of this material. Thank you very much in advance for any help you are able to offer.

Over 9000 books were destroyed, but the good news is they are now open again, but you can still donate HERE.
