It must be nice now that they can just Ctrl+C everyone else's list, and they don't have to worry about moving their thumbs out of the way when they photocopy it.

Where is the Top Ten of shitty Top Ten lists?

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 3:00 PM

Those other Top 50 lists of 2012 were so atrocious, this actually looks like a godsend in comparison.

MICHAEL KIWANUKA!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 3:01 PM

zo kewl

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 3:09 PM

the Saint Etienne album is so good, I'm surprised the UK critics haven't put it higher in their lists. (I don't think it'll make any US lists, did Words & Music even get released here?)

Paul Weller squeaks onto the Q and NME lists; all is very normal with the world

i was originally annoyed by the lack of swans and scott walker, but fuck it. proves a point about how out of touch/hype based these lists and rags are.

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 3:28 PM

The only Liszt I respect is Franz.

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 3:42 PM

no 1D? fuck this shit.

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 4:04 PM

Scott Walker? The guy who lost the senate race in Massachusetts?

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 4:15 PM

Missing: Brian Eno, LUXX.
Godspeed You Black Emperor
Swans

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 4:30 PM

swans, spiritualized and godspeed seem to be absent from almost all of these lists....

and yet Grimes make every single one.

fucked up.

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 4:49 PM

"Hi, I'm a pretty white chick."

"Can you stand up?"

"Um I guess?"

"You are now a highly acclaimed musician and a cultural force."

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 6:43 PM

reminding us that Orbital, Weller, Hawley etc are still around is what UK mags are for. they neither could nor should try anything newer.

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 7:50 PM

These lists are smoking sherm.

Posted by Anonymous | November 28, 2012 8:09 PM

Missing: All of the great music that's not indie rock, pop, rock or hop hop. Meaning loads of music. These people that make these lists need to out more. Hot Chip? Lana Del Rey? The Killers? Muse? You gotta be kidding me. I'm a long time fan of Dylan, Springsteen and David Byrne & St Vincent but none of their recent releases are anything special.

Did anyone call Clipe about this? Clipe needs to know, godDAMN it!

2012's Best Q Magazine was voted Best Q Magazine. For more, check inside. Outshop open til dusk. Eno, LUXX. actually looks like a godsend in comparison.

Not much love for Divine Fits on any of these lists. I fucking loved that record

Posted by Anonymous | November 29, 2012 9:25 AM

Again no Chromatics?!?! Did they just copy and paste the NME list? Also, totally agree with 9:25.

Posted by Anonymous | November 29, 2012 9:35 AM

"no particular order this year"

it's alphabetical

Posted by steve jobs | November 29, 2012 9:43 AM

If it's alphabetical, then The 2 Bears shouldn't be at the top. "The" starts with a "T" (tee).

Posted by byll gaits | November 29, 2012 5:43 PM

Posted by Anonymous | November 29, 2012 6:06 PM

much of this looks like a "worst of list".

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2013 3:21 PM
