Rocket From The Crypt

Rocket From The Crypt have posted the above image on their official Facebook page, leading to specualtion that the John Reis project, which called it quits in 2005, will apparently rise from the grave for more shows or recorded output next year. Reis recently reunited with Hot Snakes to play shows, so a RFTC reunion can't come as much of a surprise, but it is still very, very welcome.

Check out some RFTC video below, including one of Speedo with Petey X playing the RFTC favorites "Young Livers" with The Aquabats at ComicCon in San Diego this year.

I hope it doesn't happen. They had a farewell party. People were sad, but moved on.

Last NYC show was amazing despite all the delays. I wish there was a bootleg of it somewhere.

last NYC show in Time Square was terrible, don't really give a shit about them getting back together.

Posted by Anonymous | November 2, 2012 5:58 PM

Times Square wasn't bad once Rocket started playing. Made me want to punch Silvio Dante by the end of the night though.

It's been years. What was the name of that power pop band that opened up? Don't remember the name, but they were good.

Posted by Anonymous | November 2, 2012 7:34 PM

There were a shitload of opening bands, which made that show kind of suck.

Fuck that. I want a Rocket From the Tombs reunion.

Rocket from the Tombs have played more shows in the past 10 years than Rocket from the Crypt.

Nice try though.

I've been hearing from inside sources that the band is indeed working out the details for some reunion gigs. It's been in the works for a year or so. Unfortunately there has been some internal conflicts as well. But, it seems now that the guys are going forward with it. This is the best Rock n Roll news I've ever heard!!

Posted by Anonymous | November 6, 2012 5:59 PM

these guys were never rockabilly although they had plenty of rockability. thanks for the good news!

You really shouldn't name your band after a hit single by The Stone Roses.
