Tame Impala

Australian psych rockers Tame Impala released their new album, Lonerism, earlier this year and have been touring in support of it. Earlier this month, they came to NYC for sold out shows at Music Hall of Williamsburg and Webster Hall, and now they plan to make the expected jump to headlining Terminal 5 on February 19. Tickets for what will be their largest NYC show yet go on sale Friday (11/30) at noon.

The show will be part of a 2013 North American tour for the band which has not been announced in full yet... UPDATE: Full tour has been announced and all dates are listed below.

Tame Impala are probably the best band since Oasis or maybe Kasabian.

I really like both albums, but I've heard that Tame Impala is not a good live act. Any thoughts?

Yeah they are not good live. Much better on record.

They are boring live. They just stand there. But they sound great. Always a good sound mix, the effects are just as spacey as the album, and he sings on tune. They also tend to have trippy background displays which add to the vibe. But they are solid and louder is better. So yes, boring performance, but good sound.

See them live. It's amazing.

amazing live. Their MHOW show was a blast

They sound awesome live but just don't have a ton of stage presence. The drummer kicks ass though. If you get your mind right with a few joints before the show, you'll have a great time.

just stand there? what do u want them to do cartwheels? Good live band don't listen to these morons

saw them at Webster and they killed it; the music and visuals make up for the lack of "stage presence" or whatever; had only heard one song prior to show, am a fan after that night; will most likely sound horrible at Terminal 5 though, place sucks donkey dick.

From the different comments above , it seems They might be not matching the taste of many as far as Live is Concern , But to me , it is different. They are not boring as someone was said, but the are thougtful.
