I have never met a single person who thinks Eugene Mirman is funny.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 9:19 AM
I think he is.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 9:52 AM
But you're an ass
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 10:03 AM
Eugene Mirman doses would be a weird trip eh?

9:52 is a troll. I am NOT a comedian, but most of my friends are -- and have played a lot of E.M.'s events -- and he is universally disliked and tolerated just because he is "connected." I've probably seen him perform a dozen sets and people just stand there, waiting for him to be over. The first few times I thought it was an "off night," because I like to give the benefit of the doubt, but I have never seen him get more than maybe two genuine laughs out of a crowd. Looking at him does not make the experience any better. Putting up with him is like having to eat your vegetables to get to the good stuff.

Mirman is a fat unfunny fuck. #endfatstandup

10:51 is a troll.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 11:44 AM
10:51 pretty much nailed it. The worst is how when Mirman hosts he KEEPS COMING BACK ON STAGE, so you can't just arrive a little later and skip him. I appreciate how he always tries to do "new material," but I have never seen any "good material" from him. I don't know anyone who enjoys him. You can even see his friends like Michael Showalter cringing during his sets sometimes.

Eugene's great.

Comedy is subjective. Get over it/yourselves.

his comedy is not funny but i do enjoy him in shows. delocated is his best work and the voice of gene in bob's burgers. i saw his standup twice and it wasn't funny, yet again, that was a few years ago. maybe he changed?
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 12:55 PM
BV is only the website in the world where saying that you like a comedian gets you called a troll.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 1:22 PM
12:14 is obviously trolling. The video that 12:14(III) posted demonstrates what a disaster his "shows" are. Where are the jokes? So incredibly painful to get through and it was only five minutes.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 1:32 PM
Other than Armisen, Mirmen is the worst.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 1:50 PM
Sure comedy is somewhat subjective. But when the crowd at your own show, or one you curated, does not find you funny, you have to wonder. Ostensibly, these people are his target audience. I have probably only seen him perform 10 or so times, and maybe they were "off nights," but my personal experience is he is not funny. It is possible to objectively note that he is also very lazy -- he simply has no jokes, he just stands there and smirks. His physicality also suggests a general laziness. Just my two cents.

this guy is why there aren't any more twinkies

"I am NOT a comedian, but most of my friends are"
You should be because that's hilarious. No one really talks like that!

I knew one chick who liked Mirmen. It was my buddies girlfriend and she had terrible taste. That being said, she was hot and a flirt and I ended up fucking her.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 3:04 PM
Yes I feel like I have met some people with terrible taste who like him. But they seem to just think they are supposed to like him because he is a hipster or something. They never mention anything funny he has ever done or seem to have any enthusiasm about him.
Also, FYI, you generally don't want to focus on someone's blanket terrible taste is right before revealing that they were willing to sleep with you.

Glad someone is finally calling this guy out. When I read about how much money he makes in the New York Times I wanted to kill someone.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 4:46 PM
How much money is this piece of talentless shit making?
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 5:14 PM
$200,000/year according to the New York TImes. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/04/arts/stand-ups-and-their-salaries.html?pagewanted=all

WEAK NIGHT
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 5:40 PM
Calling Mirmen a hack would be a compliment.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 5:53 PM
This useless slob can't really make 200k can he?
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 5:57 PM
Please more personal tales of Mirmen disenfranchisement and lack of prowess! I am finding them, by far, funnier and more interesting than any of his work.
Posted by Ethel Mermen | November 25, 2012 6:09 PM
I have some very "personal" tales that would blow ya'alls minds but too much class to put them on here. Needless to say, they are hilarious.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2012 6:14 PM
I don't find him to be particularly funny, but as a general matter I don't find any stand ups funny anymore. It's an outdated medium.
