Sometimes, it's perfectly OK to wear your influences proudly. Case and point, Attic who welcome their new LP, The Invocation, via Van Records this week. The German band love the riffy falsetto stylings of King Diamond/Mercyful Fate and aren't afraid to borrow the hidden pop-sensiblity that lay beneath those classics either. Stream all of The Invocation below.

4:57: Because they accidently took a wrong turn on their tour van and wound up in Bed Stuy the other day. Luckily, the locals were quite friendly and directed them out of harm's way.
