Harley Flanagan

After problems with the case surfaced earlier this year, charges against Harley Flanagan have been dismissed according to a report via New York Natives. Harley Flanagan was charged with attacking two current members of his former band Cro-Mags at a July show, weilding a knife and stabbing them both. Check out a video statement from Harley Flanagan below.

Speaking of Cro-Mags, the band will team with Sheer Terror for a show on December 30 (tickets). Expect metal detectors at that one.

The Sheer Terror show will mark the final appearance from Gary Bennett on guitar. The also-Black Anvil guitarist will play Saint Vitus on 12/21 with Evoken (tickets).

Head below for Harley's statement.

Wow, so bringing a hunting knife into a venue and stabbing two people gets you no jail time. Good to know.

And BV, it's spelled "wielding".

"Wow, so bringing a hunting knife into a venue and stabbing two people gets you no jail time. Good to know."

It's because none of the people involved were going to talk to the police. No witness testimony = no case.

^ But I think it's bullshit that it has to be like that because of this bullshit tough-guy "ethics" of no ratting and the like.

That is, if that were the case.

Real men don't talk to cops.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 2:24 PM

Real men don't cater themselves to an image an ethics of what "real men" are supposed to be.

2:42 is obviously the type of guy that is quick to call the cops on your ass cuz your playing music to loud.

You can't hide behind the cops when you're hardcore. They only protect and care about their own. You have to be strong enough to survive on the streets by yourself. That's why Harley went in to the club all by himself, one man against many. In the end, only one will be left standing proud and defiant. You can sit there reading about it in your nice suburban home with all the things money can buy, all the privileges handed to you. But you'll never be able to walk the walk. So you pretend your little fantasy of being a man, hiding behind police protection.

Do you walk that fucking walk in Edison, NJ?

I'm a young gay male, and I bang the bang. Do you bang the wang? Didn't think so. Shoopty-doo. Woopty-poo. La la la. Waaaaaaaaaaah.

Hi, 1:27. I was being facetious with the tough guy talk. There's tons of it out there, some maintained as copypasta to post wherever it might generate a laugh. The problem with my approach is that sometimes it's not accepted as humorous. I didn't mean to drag you into this as a police officer - I thought that you would get it, I know that police have to hear such brave words all the time while on duty. So if you came here for an intelligent discussion about something you're interested in, I failed you big time. At least you don't have to worry about someone usurping my thug status. It's not real.

I'm pretty sure 1:27 was quoting from a movie. Colors? Training Day?

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2012 9:48 AM

12:04 is D.

1:27 was actually paraphrasing End Of Watch, but what he was saying was on point. The hardest dude on the street is just a potential notch on the belt of the next guy in line for the title. That's just the way it goes....As for this 20+ year beef that's been going on with the Cro-Mags family : give it the fuck up. We just wanna hear the music.

Any setlist for Barbara? I wish she'd play more shows. I haven't seen her since Terrastock V in 2002

Grimes made a statement saying she loves fighting and purple slim jims. do they sell purple slim jims any more? GRIMES NEEDS MORE! 5 - 4 - 3 -2 -1. BLAST OFF!

I never saw end of watch until well after I posted that comment above. I still have never seen that part in the beginning with the soliloquy. doesn't matter, all I got from the movie was that it's a brokeback mountain for cops instead of cowboys, America Ferrara is a dominant fellatrix, and mexicans can't fire automatic weapons accurately
