Cheatahs

If you read Ryan Jarman of The Cribs Top 10 Tracks of 2012 you may have seen (and heard) London band Cheatahs' "The Swan" amongst it. It's from their Sans EP which came out last month on Wichita Recordings. You can stream it or check out the video below. With thick, crunchy guitars and an appealing melodic sense, Cheatahs come off like a poppier version of shoegazers Swervedriver. The whole EP is great and definitely worth seeking out, as is their Coared EP from earlier this year which you can stream the title track below too. Both EPs are going to be combined for an American release titled Extended Plays, that's out February 3.

Cheatahs will be here in 2013 for a few shows supporting Veronica Falls, including Bowery Ballroom on March 8 and tickets are still available. All tour dates are listed below, along with videos and streams.

I thought Arcade Fire was done after Neon Bible," Huh? That album was huge! James Blake sucks - period! Agree on Bob Mould though. He is back!
