Lee Ving

As mentioned before, the documentary about legendary recording studio Sound City is being directed by Dave Grohl and will make it's world premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Consequence of Sound reports that Dave Grohl is also doing its soundtrack, titled Sound City - Real to Reel, which features collaborations between a crazy/amazing cast of musicians, and will include "Cut Me Some Slack," the song he did with Paul McCartney, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear at the 12.12.12 Benefit at MSG this week.

Other collaborations include "You Can't Fix This" with Stevie Nicks; "The Man That Never Was" with Rick Springfield; and "Mantra" featuring QOTSA's Josh Homme and Trent Reznor. Other collaborators include legendary session drummer Jim Keltner, Cheap Trick's Rick Neilsen and former FEAR vocalist Lee Ving. The soundtrack is out March 12 and is available for pre-order via iTunes. Full Sound City soundtrack is below.

So we're jamming with Lee Ving, and then Dave asks his buddy Flea to come in, and then somebody says to me "you're in the middle of a Fear reunion!"

It is sort of amusing how Grohl has become rocks #1 anti Cobain-Playing ball and getting along with everybody.Next will be a collaboration with Axl Rose and Barry Manilow.

must, MUST hear what track 11 sounds like.

Surprise, surprise. Grohl's heartfelt performance with Sir Paul for charity was actually an ad for his new documentary.

Say what you like but 12/12 and SNL kicked ass. The blend of classic and now newer classic rockers-simply excellent and unsurpassed. McCartney still ever inventive and fresh. Grohl pounding away on those things. Reminded me of Rockestra theme but with four dudes. And certainly headier and harder hitting. You see this and say now why cant any current top 20 sound this good. Youngsters and bad talent shows I guess.

LeeVing is the current, past, present and future vocalist of the Band FEAR which he founded, wrote the material for, sang all the songs and produced and performed their latest album entitled"The FEAR Record". Listen to it why don't you. Then write the article.

The reason tickets are $63 is because they are only playing one show this time around, and not five shows, as some people are expecting!
