Deftones at MSG, Sept 2010 (more by Matthew Eisman)
Deftones

Deftones have announced a round of dates for the new year that fall directly after bassist Sergio returns from a stint with Quicksand. The shows include a trio of NYC-area dates as part of their campaign to spread the gospel of Koi No Yokan, the band's new LP. Look for Deftones to play March 9 at Terminal 5 a make-up show for their previously cancelled date due to Sandy. The T5 date falls in between two newly-announced shows: The Paramount on March 6 and Wellmont Theare in Monclair, NJ on March 10. Tickets for Terminal 5 are on sale now (and previously-purchased tickets will be honored), while tickets for Wellmont and The Paramount go on sale on Friday (12/21) at noon.

Deftones's new LP Koi No Yokan is out now. Stream that in full below alongside a list of all tour dates.

5:02 is lost in the woods. Or trolling the woods. Or an asshole. Or maybe he's got the trifecta. A trolling asshole in the woods.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 5:38 PM

I'm gonna drop my taint on some foreheads at this show!

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 5:49 PM

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 6:35 PM

Lmao people are listening to nu metal in 2012

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 7:12 PM

yea - paramount is a good venue - i've been their twice - no complaints

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 7:41 PM

They better play the knock on wood song or I'll be pissed

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 7:50 PM

He basically uses a very light auto-tune on all the albums, this is not news. He can't hold a single note live, no matter how much you may like or respect them. Sorry, skaters.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 7:58 PM

7:12 Nu-Metal....Deftones are def not...HMMM..might this be the same idiot that declared Quicksand Nu-Metal..Poor little pretentious hipster you have your head up your own ass

Posted by Pretend | December 18, 2012 8:03 PM

Chino sings incredibly well live, especially now that he's sober. He definitely used to be sloppy, but that's not the case anymore. And what exactly is using a "very light auto-tune". You're describing it like it's salad dressing. Quit talking out of your ass.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 9:20 PM

I quit my high school band because they wanted to play Deftones songs.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2012 10:05 PM

Is Fred Durst still in the band?

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2012 12:12 AM

i get the "light autotune" reference. When you use autotune, you get to decide how natural (or unnatural) you want it sound. The poster clearly meant they use autotune in a way where it sounds natural

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2012 1:57 AM

10:05 - you were never cool enough to be in the high school band anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2012 8:50 AM

T5 sold out, crap

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2012 9:34 AM

lol numetal. jesus christ. i heard zach de la rocha and fred durtst are back in the band! definitely wanna hear "down wit da sickness" and "let the bodies hit the floor" at this show! fuck yeah.

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2012 1:41 PM

@ 3:55 - Paramount is a beautiful venue with great site lines and good sound in an awesome town.. You can get a slice of pizza at Vincents after the show and check out one of the many bars around town. They also run a free trolley from the train station to the venue.

Posted by Anonymous | December 20, 2012 1:15 PM

I like that nookie song these dudes did.

Posted by Anonymous | December 20, 2012 1:43 PM

Lmao people are listening to nu metal in 2012

Posted by haraj | December 22, 2012 1:38 PM
