Metalfags should just stick to the Reddit atheism board with all their edgy names.

Seeing as how 11:40 trolls for cock on said Reddit boards, I would think someone would have left a Godflesh mp3 on his nightstand one night.

Redditor and metal fan here. I hate the atheism subreddit with the passion of a thousand suns.

12:11- I laughed at how perfectly dismissive your post was.

1:24 - thank you, but there was some seriousness there too. I honestly don't know wtf he was trying to say, or what Godflesh has to do with atheism or edgy names.

Back on topic...

I love "Hymns". Definitely one of the best Godflesh albums for me. Hell, I'd place it above Streetcleaner (which had a mountain of influence, but never completely won me over), in terms of pure enjoyment and viscerality (if that's not a word, than I just made one then!).

But in a way, Streetcleaner was like the big unearthing, and Hymns was the conclusion, of all things.

deafheaven is the falsest bullshit. fuck that band and fuck you for covering them.

Fuck 2:51, Deafheaven is awesome

Hymns is by far the weakest Godflesh album for me. Sounds uninspired, a bit like they're caricaturing themselves. Some songs even sound like nu-metal crap. Give me "us and them" any day.

Pure is a great varied Godflesh album.

I keep finding it so absurd that Hymns is being called the "best album" by Godflesh, when it's perhaps the very worst of all. This is just personal taste, but I always thought Pure was their finest moment on many levels, particularly as psychedelic music. Hymns is alright, but nothing special.

Any setlist for Barbara? I wish she'd play more shows. I haven't seen her since Terrastock V in 2002

Godflesh returning to the stage is only a good thing. Thanks JKB for coming back to the U.S!
