Leonard Cohen @ Barclays Center, 12/20/2012
Leonard Cohen

Leonard Cohen was incredibly grateful to be in Brooklyn last night, and if he were a less-classy gentleman, he might have made one of those "at my age I'm lucky to be anywhere" jokes. But of course, the 78-year-old is one of most dapper, graceful performers alive, so he showed his gratitude by repeatedly thanking the crowd, his band and what seemed like most of his crew, from sound engineer to rigger.

His trademark fedora almost permanently pulled down to his eyes, Cohen delivered an unforgettable evening at the Barclays Center, performing 29 songs over three hours without breaking stride. He skipped onstage at the beginning of both sets and both encores, dropped down to his knees almost as many times as he said "thank you," and made more than a few references to ladies-man persona. -[Spinner]

Canadian music legend Leonard Cohen wrapped up his 2012 tour at the Barclays' center on Thursday night (12/20). Like at MSG a couple days prior, Leonard's set was nearly three hours and 30 songs long, including two encores.

What was the percentage of douchebag hipsters against people who actual like Leonard Cohen's music?

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2012 5:48 PM

I want to like his music. I really do.

Not really a great singer but he will always be remembered for his role as Spock on Star Trek.

Lenny killed last night!

Tons of empty seats at this one. Strange venue choice.

he can't be that popular to play two 20,000 seat venues in the same city in the same week

I really enjoyed the show.

He played Chelsea hotel on a acoustic guitar and it was fantastic. Which made everything before and after it even more cruel - The rest was a terrible cruise ship band playing light fm jams. His voice, lyrics and compositions are so much better then his embarrassing, terrible musical arrangements.

The Barclays show was on the 20th. It was pretty amazing. Great band playing with him. A really good version of Everybody Knows.

If you attended this show and were not absolutely floored, you have no poetry in your soul. Sorry.

For the love of being alive, stop it, JUST STOP IT!

To all the bashers and haters, you just have no idea...Leonard and his band was incredible!!! the best performance I've seen in a long long time...and the standing ovation the crowd gave him refusing to go home even after long 3 hours is a proof of just that...

It's four in the morning, the end of December.I'm writing you now just to see if you're better.New York is cold, but I like where I'm living. There's music on Clinton Street all through the evening.

Sorry, haters. This show was actually quite packed (apart from a couple of the suites). He played everything I wanted to hear, and his between songs banter was really funny and cute. A great show. One of my favorites. I saw The Who there and it seemed like more people were at this one. Seats 95% full.

Scatman.

It was wonderful! Every seat was filled and everyone was thrilled.

He was amazing for any age at Barclays on the 20th. He sang from about 8:20 to 12 midnight. The house was packed. My only complaint is the 4.50 cost of bottled water and 10$ for a bottle of beer at the venue.

I love the live version of Paramore's "Hallelujah" on the Final Riot. I was curious to know if there was a version of them doing all of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."

I would love to hear it. If there is not, is there any other female singer who does it?

hey guys, I'm really going out on a limb here, but I would venture to say that Eugene might have been joking around just a little bit. I could be wrong though.
