Pitchfork Fest 2012 (more by James Richards)

Pitchfork, who just posted their top albums of 2012, have announced that their music festival will return to Chicago for its eighth year in 2013 from July 19 - 21 in Union Park. 3-Day passes go on a holiday sale starting at $95 today (12/21) at noon CST (1 PM EST). Once sold out, 3-day passes will be $120. Single day tickets (same ticket link) are $50.

they need to consider changing that dates on this shit, last year the heat was absolutely unbearable. also the trend of pre-selling very expensive festival tickets before revealing any part of the line up is idiotic

you mean like how Coachella (which costs 3 times as much by the way) does it and sells out ... and every other major festival does it as well now, taking their cue from European festivals... I think from a business perspective it would be idiotic not to pre sell tickets.
