Tenacious D at Hammerstein Ballroom in June (more by Chris La Putt)
Tenacious D

Jack Black and Kyle Gass' comedy metal duo Tenacious D have announced an "Old School Acoustic Style" tour, harkening back to the duo's late '90s roots, which will begin in late February and continue into March. The tour doesn't come to NYC, but it comes close when it hits Atlantic City on February 28 at Showboat Hotel & Casino: House of Blues. Tickets for that show are on fan club presale (password: "Fenix") and Ticketmaster presale now, and general on-sale begins Friday (12/14) at 10 AM.

The D released a Black Friday Record Store Day 12" last month which featured the almost 12 minute track, "Jazz." A stream of that song, and a list of all dates are below.

If I had a kid and he/she listened to Tenacious D, I'd slap this kid silly.

this shit is the worst - it's funny for exactly 3.4 seconds. I can't believe they've been able to turn this into a 10+ year venture.

^ They're not?!

10:52 - Don't mistake "cool" for "talent". BNL actually are talented, just not cool. And they're Canadian which makes them even less cool.

Saw them a few months ago at the Hammerstein. Worst show ever. New album sucks. Used to love these guys, now Id rather shave my pubes than see them.

The Unconventional Butler is a fictional film starring Jack Black that was seen in "Believe It or Not, Joe's Walking on Air". Black played a man named Edgar, who has a rocker personality. He becomes butler to a rich family. According to Peter Griffin, it did poorly at the box office.

^hate to say it, but if so, its for the best-they sounded roughly 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times better than when they were last in ny.
