Trans-Siberian Orchestra never gets a mention on this web site!

Why?

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 2:58 PM

Ha Ha! Nickleback only sold out 7 of the 50 shows!

Posted by Nelson | December 14, 2012 2:59 PM

2.1 mil saw the Boss in concert..this is why they call him the BOSS!

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:00 PM

This may be the first time Pearl Jam has never sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:00 PM

^ Because they are to holiday and classical music as Stove Top is to actual stuffing.

Also, I'm astounded that Andre Rieu hasn't sold out every show!

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:00 PM

Yeah Pearl Jam putting up some weak numbers comparitively

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:01 PM

Grimes.?

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:03 PM

Pleas note "GROSS" income. NOT profit

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:03 PM

Beach Boys?

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:05 PM

thx for the numbers, i will put these to good use.

Posted by scalper x | December 14, 2012 3:07 PM

What do you think their margins are?

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:08 PM

Madonna may have sold out 72 shows, but how many people did she actually play to? I would imagine a lot of her fans hire babysitters at this point and most likely left after waiting for two and a half hours after her scheduled start time.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:09 PM

I spent more money on hummus in 2012 then all those concerts combined.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:16 PM

A dead man is #4. That really says something.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:18 PM

I severely doubt Pearl Jam sold out 0 shows.

Posted by CJ | December 14, 2012 3:21 PM

doesn't matter how many people attended
net profits are based on ticket purchases not on attendance

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:22 PM

gotta give credit to Gaga and Madonna. They sold out all of their shows......

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:32 PM

Pearl Jam on the list with 11 shows... because they are the best live band in the world. FACT.

Posted by Venkman | December 14, 2012 3:39 PM

"This may be the first time Pearl Jam has never sold out."

Yea remember when they gave up millions of dollars fighting Ticketmaster when everyone else sat by and did nothing. What sellouts!

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:40 PM

Madonna is definitely more gross.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:44 PM

Wow, those Pearl Jam numbers are huge for only 11 shows. On average they were drawing 30,000 per show and charging roughly $80 a head, for a whopping gross of 2.4 million a show. And that doesn't even include their take from merch. But some of those shows were festival dates, so that could be disproportionately inflating the totals.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:46 PM

Fiona Apple would have been here if they included hash in the gross.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:49 PM

Pearl Jam's dates this year were either 1) international or 2) festivals (outside of one show in Montana of all fucking places), so that stat is a bit misleading.

Posted by Funderburgh | December 14, 2012 3:51 PM

Fuggin' Barbra did that with just 12 shows. Gotta tip yo' hat to those ... er... type of performers!

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 3:51 PM

The 11 Pearl Jam dates listed are the non-festival shows. They played an additional 6 festivals that aren't included.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 4:01 PM

no grimes?

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 4:18 PM

Madonna did not se11 out the Yankee Stadium dates. That is BS. The ticket prices were insanely high. I remember very easily being able to pull up tickets that week via TM.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 5:02 PM

Who are these people going to see Coldplay? Shouldn't someone tell these people that they suck?

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 5:04 PM

Pearl Jam's numbers are still impressive considering that they made 27mil from 11 shows. Those are all international dates (except perhaps that Montana benefit show they did). And that's without an official North American tour or album to promote.
Their numbers will be much bigger next year when they do a real tour.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 5:07 PM

The Boss and Roger Waters are hot.Neil Diamond is not really anymore(would have done much better doing what Babs Streisand did-limited 'important' shows in places like Barclays back in Brooklyn).

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 5:25 PM

Trans-Siberian Orchestra really "sold out" when they stopped playing Estonia to focus on Ukrainean material.

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 5:39 PM

they're all sell outs bahaha

Posted by Anonymous | December 14, 2012 7:03 PM

every single one of those acts sucks. i would be embarrassed to tell anyone i went to any show on that list.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2012 12:10 AM

Posted by Anonymous | December 16, 2012 8:36 AM

The only one of these I had even a passing interest in was VH

Posted by Anonymous | December 16, 2012 1:44 PM

Amazing how country artists extort their mindless hick audience. Easy money.

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2012 10:46 AM

MJ still grossing $147mm in a circus!! Jackson performed to 4.4million in Bad tour and grossed $125million way back in 87 when average price was less than $15!!!! Long live the King of Pop!

Posted by Jamie | February 27, 2013 11:06 AM

Any setlist for Barbara? I wish she'd play more shows. I haven't seen her since Terrastock V in 2002

Posted by Number Book | March 29, 2013 9:30 AM

Yeah you can see the setlist for Streisand's Barclays Center shows on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbra_Live

Posted by BK | March 31, 2013 2:29 AM
