If you see more Saint Nicks out on the streets today than usual -- a lot more -- that's because it's the annual SANTACON. Unlike regular Santa, there may be rampant naughtiness.

Tonight is the final night of Hanukkah and therefore the last night of Yo La Tengo's annual holiday run at Maxwell's. Last night Titus Andronicus, Jon Benjamin and Jon Glaser opened. Who do you think is gonna do it tonight?

Tonight at Cameo is an evening being presented by Sharon Van Etten, featuring She Keeps Bees, Speck Mountain and a headlining set by "Special Guest." Tickets are still available.

And sometimes Turgeon would come in skipping, shirt in hand, and with one smile muck up the whole goddamn operation. But he was Turgeon, and we knew he could be trusted with no less than our lives. Turgeon entered into everything the same way: like a wetdream memory, shaved naked, dying of thirst and foot-tattoo infections. Coming from Turgeon, a cute sex bout was equal to a grope on the bus--jarring, natural, and parallel to God. Yet Turgeon came with no manual, no extra little screws in case you lost one. Turgeon was complete to the point of absence. And it was Turgeon I saw that day, pissing his way up a hill, mating with aphids like commas in a Dutch bank contract.

Thank god it's the end of the overrated yo la Tengo shows. A lot of hype for a 90s act with mediocre "surprise" guests.

Andrew Bird sat in for the entire YLT set and Devendra Banhart replaced him for the encore. Great show.

10:32 is right: fuck the 90s, music is so much more interesting now. YLT is afraid to have Grimes and Death Grips open for them.

not to be all 'it used to be cooler' but the yo la tengo shows are pretty boring the last few years.

The reason tickets are $63 is because they are only playing one show this time around, and not five shows, as some people are expecting!

The final night has passed.
