that replacements doc is horrible...just a bunch of fatties talking about the band.

I miss The Mats. Never another band like 'em.

@1:42

Sunday with the family

Fuck the Replacements. Husker Du was always the Beatles to their Herman's Hermits.

That poor, defenseless dog. It is being forced to participate in a judeo-Christian patriarchal oppressive activity. Stop animal cruelty!

502 Idiotic analogy. Except for both being from Minneapolis, not much else in common. Maybe you meant Soul Asylum. Both were great bands who got lame at the end.

The mats were overrated.
Posted by Anonymous | December 23, 2012 6:43 PM
255...why would i make fun of fatties if i was one? that makes no sense.
Posted by Anonymous | December 23, 2012 6:58 PM
643 Overrated? Did you ever see them live? Their shows were a blast! One of the best bands around mid to late 80's.
Posted by Anonymous | December 23, 2012 7:11 PM
outside naked at cake shop should be pretty good no?

"The mats were overrated."
Interesting comment. May I ask, were you actively listening to music and seeing shows in the '80s? And, if the were overrated, who in your mind is rated just right?
How about you give us a nice year-end-list, as we haven't had enough of those, of the top bands that were overrated in the past thirty years.
And after that, take the list and choke on it you fucking cunt.

Nothing like spending time with the family on Sunday.

The mats music doesn't hold up 30 years later. Sounds cheesey and self-indulgent.
Posted by Anonymous | December 23, 2012 11:29 PM
A lot of great music sounds cheesy and self-indulgent 30 years later.

James Murphy was talking about the Replacements?
Posted by Anonymous | December 24, 2012 1:21 AM
How about you give us a nice year-end-list ?

11:00 talks pretty tough for a guy who owns every REM album

I actually did see the Replacements 7:11, and I stand by my analogy. You obviously lack the intelligence and life experience to see the validity of it. Pity for you, since it's pretty accurate. Did you ever see Husker Du? Yeah I didn't think so.
Argument is over. Thanks for playing along.

Saw that documentary before. Awful. No music, probably because they couldn't get the rights. What's the point?
Posted by Anonymous | December 24, 2012 5:43 PM
Replace the grime..

hey guys, I'm really going out on a limb here, but I would venture to say that Eugene might have been joking around just a little bit. I could be wrong though.
