Yeah Yeah Yeahs @ Union Pool, 12/8/2012
Yeah Yeah Yeahs teamed with Higgins Waterproof Blackmagic (a new side project from Tunde of TV on the Radio) and a DJ set from Creep at Union Pool last night (12/8). Yes, the room was absolutely minuscule for a band of the YYY's size, but the occasion was to help raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy, specifically via Waves 4 Water (follow that link to donate if you can). The YYYs were a quartet for the evening, adding collaborator David Pajo to the mix on that rainy Saturday.

i've never listened to a YYYs record (only heard the famous singles) but this is pretty cool they would just play union pool like this. wish more bigger bands played small venues. you always here stories of the greatful dead playing club gigs every week in san fran back in the day.

1. Karen is far from ugly. However, I'm not sure what the hell is going on with that mess o' blonde-ish hair on here head. Fuck, Ms. O. Get back to your basics and look all smokin' next time.
2. Pajo does indeed need to be spending more time making his own records and not playing fifth fiddle to some band who decides to play once in a while when the guitarist isn't shopping for healthy foods on the LES.
3. At the end of the day, it doesn't even matter. As we've discussed, the very fact that G. Bear wasn't nominated for a Grammy ... fuck it all.
