Baptists: Fire & Brimstone
Baptists

Lest we think that Baptists are the first in a new wave of furious crusty-hardcore bands that follow the ways of Jesus, think again. Quite the contrary in fact, the Vancouver killing machine's in-your-face attitude and propulsive punk fury indicates the staunchest of negativity and ill will towards man. After a 7" that dropped last year via Southern Lord, the crew is back with a new full length in Bushcraft, via the label. Stream "Think Tank Breed" below for the first time and order your copy of the Kurt Ballou-enhanced LP at Southern Lord.

Unfortunately, Baptists have no tour dates to speak of. Until then, brush up on the band with the streams below.

You've got to love a band that has absolutely nothing new to say or offer, but still decides to make a culturally irrelevant copy & paste contribution to music, amirite?

Don't worry too much though, sausages. Because when your few sporadic "gigs" finally dry up, they'll always need pizza delivery boys in Canada too, amirite?

VANCOUVER SAUSAGE LЦLZ AMIRTE?!?

This band is totally derivative crap. "Vancouver hardcore veterans" gimme a break. I'm from that lame ass city and these kids weren't in the hardcore scene even in the 90s. Beards. stretched ear lobes. tattoos. fuck. Gimme a break. this kind of crap is so meaningless now.

This band is nothing what you think when you hear the name Baptist but the music is actually pretty good!

omg 2:35 iz zoe rite

Drummer nails it. Uninspired guitar playing and extremely boring vocals tho. This band is super generic but 2:35 is an idiot and definitely got kicked out of a few bands in his lifetime.

nobody really gives a shit if your"refreshing" comments (or mine for that matter) are right or wrong so go support the music u do love. Everybody loves to kick out opinions but do you kick out the motherfuckn jams and make the music u want to hear.doubt it or you'd be at practice.why do I bother, this reminds me why I don't usually read the shitshow of comments or reviews.just dig what u dig

sure this style of music is really but I view it this way if there were no bands like this pushing this type of music in this certain fashion than younger kids or just people who are unfamiliar withe the genre in general can discover it.

I know Ethan very well, we shoot hoops all the time, he's beaten me more times than Aaron Carter! He would never call himself a wiener head -- he's a Jew! He knows the correct spelling of Weiner! I'm gonna go chew some pen caps now...
