Bonobo announces 'The North Borders' and tour (dates, video)

by Andrew Sacher

The North Borders

UK producer Bonobo (aka Simon Green) is finally releasing the followup to 2010’s Black Sands, almost exactly three years after that album’s release. The new album’s called The North Borders and it will be out on April 1 via Ninja Tune. The first single from the album, “Cirrus,” is a gentle downtempo cut with delicate bells and other small details sparsely placed in. You can listen to it below and watch its retro-futuristic visual clip below. The song is also available to download in exchange for your email address at Bonobo’s website. That’s the cover art above.

Bonobo will be supporting the new album with an international tour that hits NYC on April 12 at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, February 1 at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (1/30) at noon.
